National Chocolate Day: How Will You Celebrate?
I just found out that today is National Chocolate Day. How is it possible that I didn’t realize until now? That means that I’ve missed out on the bulk of the day and will have to make up for lost time by eating chocolate the rest of the day.
So what’s the deal with National Chocolate Day anyway? Wasn’t it just National Coffee Day? Are these days proclaimed just to boost sales? If so, why have Chocolate Day right before Halloween when chocolate sales increase anyway?
And to confuse matters, July 28th was National Milk Chocolate Day; September 12 was National Chocolate Milkshake Day; and September 23rd was National White Chocolate Day.
As far as I’m concerned, that means that today is devoted to dark chocolate which is good news for me. As much as I used to love milk chocolate, I have pretty much completely forsaken it in favor of dark chocolate (it’s good for you!).
Now that you know it is National Chocolate Day, how will you celebrate? You might try to make this Chocolate Celebration Cake from the folks over at Family Kitchen. Also, find out how what they plan to do to celebrate the day.
Are you a chocoholic? For me, pretty much every day is chocolate day.
