A List of Similac Recall Lot Numbers So Far
Abbott, makers of Similac infant formula, have released on its website the lot numbers and descriptions of the products currently under its Similac recall 2010. However, the website has been overloaded with hits and appears to be down.
Here are the Similac recall lot numbers that we have so far:

88136T20

The makers have said all powdered formula in larger rectangular plastic containers are a part of the recall. Any formula purchased in the 12.9-oz or smaller cans are not considered a part of the recall.
The formula recall came after it was learned that some cans may be contaminated with insects parts — which they say does not pose a health threat if consumed. Parents can also call the hotline, (800) 986-8850, to check their cans against the company recall.
Liquid, concentrated, Expert Care, Elecare and Human Milk Fortifier are not currently a part of this recall.
All products that are part of the Similac recall 2010 can be returned to Abbott for a full refund. Details of how and where to pursue the refund are on the website and the hotline.

Madeline Holler commented on Sep 24 10 at 3:22 pmGreat questions! Look above your comment, they added some hotline numbers if you want to know right away. I’ll see what I can find out, too.
PlumbLucky commented on Sep 28 10 at 9:55 amJust don’t have them to reference (the samples) but wanted to be able to contact the shelter with a yay or a nay :-S
