3 New Dr. Suess Apps For The iPhone
There are 3 new Dr. Suess apps out for the iPhone: ebook versions of classics Green Eggs and Ham and Hop on Pop, and Gertrude McFuzz.
My oldest is old enough to read Hop on Pop and Green Eggs and Ham herself now, and she’s availed herself of that for hours on end since we got these. Like all Oceanhouse Media’s apps, these combine the classic images and text with some pop up words for extra reading fun.
There’s an option to turn on narration and have a sweet, female voice read to you, or to read the books yourself.
These are some of my kids favorite books. Having them in my pocket has saved the day more than once already on a long bus ride.
The girls also love Oceanhouse’s Dr. Suess games. The Lorax Garden has been a favorite for months now. I hope we’ll see more of these Suess-themed games from them in future releases.
In the meantime, you can find more hot apps for kids on Babble’s Top 50 iPhone Apps for Kids list.
