Wendy’s Pulls Disco CD from Kids’ Meals
Wendy’s pulled disco CDs from the fast food chain’s kids’ meals due to questionable lyrics, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
Apparently, there are two sets of lyrics for Donna Summer’s “Last Dance.” “And when the words are bad, they’re so, so bad,” joked the paper.
The lyrics on the CD cover of Donna Summer’s “Last Dance” include the words “so bad.” But some customers heard the words “so horny” in the song, which was marked as safe for children 3-years-old and up. The company making the CDs for Wendy’s apparently mistakenly included the adult version of the song — or else people are hearing things.
Although Wendy’s is pulling the “Karaoke Disco Fever” CD, Wendy’s will continue to distribute three other CDs, including “Totally 80s,” “Motown for Kids,” and “Songs for the Car.” “ABC” by Jackson 5 and “Celebration” by Kool & the Gang are just a couple of the songs featured on those CDs.
This news comes on the heels of rival fast food restaurant McDonald’s recalling 12 million “Shrek” drinking glasses after they were found to have cadmium.
Maybe it’s time we stop rewarding kids for eating junk food.

Ticktock commented on Jun 14 10 at 12:26 amI think it’s a fun idea to have a CD in the kids meal. “Horny”… what a silly word to censor.
PlumbLucky commented on Jun 14 10 at 11:24 amAnyone else remember the kerfuffle regarding 2LiveCrew back in the late 80′s/early 90′s? Seemed to center around the song Me So Horny. Know what? At the age I was when the controversy was brewing, I had to go look up the meaning. I probably wouldn’t have had it not been on the news.
