Tony Bourdain to Guest on Yo Gabba Gabba (VIDEO)
Celebrity chef, traveler, and dad to a toddler daughter Anthony Bourdain will be the latest unlikely celebrity to make a guest appearance on Yo Gabba Gabba this month.
The episode, in which Bourdain plays “Dr.Tony” and makes a housecall on a sick Toodie (the blue one), is scheduled to air March 10. It’s, um, not uncovering any heretofore unnoticed acting talents, but like your average YGG guest shot, it’s pretty trippy.
I’m not a fan of Yo Gabba Gabba — it’s so self-consciously weird and trying way, way too hard to be hip. I know this makes me a minority among Babble readers. But this? This I’d watch. The famously sarcastic Bourdain has written that he loves Yo Gabba Gabba, as does his little girl. And how cool would it be to be able to do a guest shot on your favorite kid’s show?
Crank up your DVRs if you’re a fan of either Bouirdain or the show. Until then, here’s a video taste:
