Pregnant Man Pregnant for 3rd Time

thomas beatie Pregnant Man Pregnant for 3rd TimeTwo years ago, the world (and Oprah) was introduced to Thomas Beatie, the former woman who became the first known transgendered man to give birth. Now Mr. Beatie and wife Nancy have a third bun in the oven.

In case you were wondering why wife Nancy hasn’t taken a turn at the mothering post, she is unable to have children due to hysterectomy.

Beatie, born a woman, underwent sex change surgery and reassignment therapy while opting to keep his female reproductive organs.

Just last month, California Scott Moore became the world’s second known transgender pregnant man.

Could Beatie have opened doors to the transgender community?

He.Is.NOT.A.Man!!! If you have a uterus and especially if you are using that uterus to gestate, you are not biologically a man.

Biologically this person is a woman. They were not born male. Its great that they are pregnant but its just a woman that had surgery and used drugs to look like a man.
When an actual biological male has a baby then I’ll be impressed.

I’m really happy that these people found a way to live happily together and get everything that they want out of life. but if you are born a woman, and keep all your girly parts, just because you take hormones to make you grow facial hair and enlarge your clit, it doesn’t make you an actual guy, so i’m sorry but this is not news worthy. let me know when people born female start impregnating people who were born male and i’ll be interested.

It’s important, I think, to note the difference between sex and gender. While Thomas was indeed born a woman, his gender identity is that of a man. Sex is what we are born with… male, female, intersex, etc. Gender is a social construct… we DO gender. So Thomas can be a woman who identifies as male. How he identifies is what’s important. I recommend the books Transistor Radio or She’s Not There for more information on the differences between sex and gender and what it means to be transgender.
