untitled Powerful Seat Belt Ad Reminds Us Why We Buckle UpSeat belts have been mandatory in my state since I was a teen, so driving without a seat belt makes me feel naked.  But some people still need reminding that buckling up is a safer way to ride in a car.

That’s the message Sussex Safer Roads Partnership wanted to spread with their new ad, “Embrace Life.”  And boy, did they ever.  As AdGrabber points out, most traffic safety ads are scary and gruesome, laying out the consequences of crashing without protection.

But this ad sends a touching and powerful message by focusing on something different:  Life, and the people we love.  Watch it below:

This video should be required viewing for teens, people who hate to wear their seatbelts, and basically anyone who wants a driver’s license.  Like it?  There’s even a Facebook group.
