Kid Stuck in Couch – Parents Torture for You Tube Fame
Is this cute? Yes, this is indeed very cute. Plus this kid sounds and acts just like my very own son. And yes, I would let my own son sweat a little to learn a lesson. However, there is a disquieting trend embodied by this video: parents exploiting/torturing their kids for You Tube fame. Think of the “David after dentist” kid. Are the parents in this video teaching their son a lesson or milking the situation for good footage?

josie 2180 commented on Dec 31 09 at 9:51 amI understand your point, but I don’t think the boy was being tortured…and the video is cute. If they were seeking fame they got it right here on the babble…
D's Mama commented on Dec 31 09 at 10:04 amOh lighten up! No one is being exploited or tortured. Just a funny childhood moment captured on video. While I thank you for sharing as it brought a smile to my face, does EVERYTHING need to be dramatized as the end of civilization?
Pleen commented on Dec 31 09 at 11:41 amI agree, he was NOT being tortured. Obviously he had been told many times not to go back there or he’d get stuck. Consequences.
mamazee commented on Dec 31 09 at 2:14 pmi don’t get how the David/dentist one is exploitative, either – they didn’t take him to the dentist to get him high and put a video on youtube – he had to go to the dentist…
TolaniLucia commented on Dec 31 09 at 7:15 pmIt seems like a lot of hater’s who’s kids are boring that have problems with the youtube stuff. It’s silly. These parents are having a good time. and the kids would pay the price for the parents good time if it was a scary santa, itchy new church dress or this darn couch. So cutr that he has to suck in his gut to come out. I once had my head stuck in a banister. Wish my folks had that on tape.
