Stepfather Sticks 50 Needles in Toddler Son’s Body out of “Spite”
A 2-year-old boy is recovering after four of the most dangerous needles embedded into his body were removed by surgeons in Brazil. The aforementioned needles were found in the boy’s lung and near his heart. His stepfather sits in jail for forcing the implements into his son.
In a jailhouse interview, the stepfather, 30-year-old bricklayer Roberto Carlos Magalhaes, admitted he and his lover doped the boy with wine and held the boy down while shoving the needles into his body. Magalhaes said his actions were performed out of spite for his wife.
The boy’s mother took her son to the hospital after the boy complained of pain.
Doctors say the boy will need at least two more surgeries. Before this first operation, the boy was considered in critical condition. Doctors are waiting to see if the boy’s condition improves enough to perform further surgeries.
