Big Snowstorm In The West – Morning News

Posted by brettsinger on December 8th, 2009 at 9:18 am

We’ll start with some weather news, since that’s not polarizing. There is a big snowstorm in the West, according to CBS News. Actually, if I wanted to make a bad joke, I could say something about “polarizing” and “polar” as in “cold”, “ice”, “snow…” Eh. Nothing there, sorry.

Flagstaff, Arizona got 20 inches of snow, which is a record. I always wondered if some poor schnook has to stand outside with a ruler and measure the snow to find out how many inches it is. Here’s some video:

President Obama is working on jobs. Jobs, jobs, jobs. Get some jobs for us already! You’ve been in office over a year. Why haven’t you fixed everything? (ABC) And some video from CBS, with a reporter named Bill Plant, who really is about as dynamic as a plant. OK, cheap shot. Sorry.

Six people are trying to get Ted Kennedy’s Senate seat. The primary vote is today, with four Democrats and two Republicans trying for their party’s nomination. (CNN)

Rabid Raccoons in Central Park! Weird. (New York Times) Trying to come up with a song parody, to the tune of “Rocky Raccoon.” So far all I have is this:

Rabid Raccoon / Is it a full moon?
Why are they here / in Manhattan?
They might have rabies / That’s a bad disease
How does something / like this happen?

I know. Needs work.

Oh, and in your Daily Tiger Woods News, also known as The Most Important Story Of The Century If You Consider The Amount of Coverage It’s Been Getting, a woman was taken from Tiger Woods’ Florida home in an ambulance. (Toronto Star) It’s not clear who the woman is. Here’s some video:

I like how they call it “Woods exclusive home”. What does that mean?

Also from TigerLand: his extremely pissed off wife Elin Nordegren has purchased a Swedish mansion, according to the Daily News (and 12 million other news outlets). People say this means she has moved out, although they are not certain if she took the kids. If she went to Sweden and didn’t take the children, that’s a bit extreme. My guess is she didn’t. I don’t think you can buy a house in Sweden and move there in, like, a couple of days. Then again, I’ve never tried.

And finally, if you want to see pictures of all the women that Tiger Woods allegedly slept with while he was married to his extremely pissed off wife Elin Nordegren, PopEater has photos of the entire harem.

I don’t approve of a man/woman cheating on his/her spouse, no matte3r if they’re married or not. But, if I believed all of the unfaithful get togethers reported on the web, I would have to believe everyone is sleeping with everyone else. Sleeping?? Well, ok, maybe not.

Maybe. But there’s definitely something going on at the Tiger house.

Tiger’s Taste for Tarts.

Nice!
I’m still stuck on the idea that she beat him up with a golf club. Is that definitely what happened? Because that would be… well, something.

Don’t think we’re ever going to find out the truth to that one. Can’t say I’d blame her if she oopsed upside his head a couple of times.
