Mom Doses Kid With Methadone To Get Her Pee

methadone bottle 192x300 Mom Doses Kid With Methadone To Get Her PeeIt would have been bad enough if a mom switched out her kid’s urine for her own in a drug test. But to make it believable, a  Michigan mom first dosed her kid with methadone to make it seem like the pee of a recovering drug addict.

Needless to say, she’s going to have no choice about kicking the habit – Randi Marie Carr is headed to prison.

The Chicago Tribune reports Carr gave her four-year-old methadone, which is essentially synthetic opioid which in and of itself can become habit forming. Not to mention it can slow your breathing, is contra-indicated for use in pregnant and breastfeeding women because of the risk to a baby and can create an irregular heartbeat.

Used to help addicts get off the harder stuff, it’s supposed to be taken only under a doctor’s care.

Fortunately, the four-year-old is fine – save for having a drug addicted mother who will now spend anywhere from four years and nine months to twenty years in prison.

Does she get bad parent of the month award or are we reserving that for the mom who created an animal concentration camp in her backyard?
