Morning News – Lou Dobbs Quits CNN
Perhaps inspired by Sarah Palin, Lou Dobbs quit CNN yesterday. Why? Here is part of his statement.
“…some leaders in media, politics and business have been urging me to go beyond my role here at CNN and to engage in constructive problem-solving, as well as to contribute positively to a better understanding of the great issues of our day. And to continue to do so in the most honest and direct language possible.” (L.A. Times)
Perhaps Lou will dedicate his life to convincing the public that Barack Obama is not a citizen of the United States? Is that the honesty he’s referring to?
In the words of the great Kent Brockman, “only time will tell.”
CNN, Dobbs’ former employer, tells us that Fort Hood suspect Maj. Nidal Hasan was a loner. No surprise there. (CNN)
Sarah Palin launched her book tour in Grand Rapids, Michigan. One might think she would have started the tour in Alaska. But you know what? She’s “Going Rogue!” (DetNews.com)
Wal-mart reported increased profits but said that the holiday sales outlook is not so great. They also hope that no one gets trampled to death on Black Friday this year. “No trampling” is a good thing to shoot for year-round. (Washington Post)
And Mike Tyson was detained at Los Angeles International Airport. The troubled boxer got into an “altercation” with a photographer. Why anyone would do anything to cause Mike Tyson to become even remotely peeved is beyond me. Video report below. (L.A. Times)
