Crying Baby Loves Fleetwood Mac

Posted by bethanysanders on October 28th, 2009 at 11:00 am

When my girls were babies, I had one of those red, black, and primary colored mobiles that was supposed to boost babies’ brain power.  It may have done that, I’m not really sure.  But it what it did do was calm my cranky babies, every time.  When they were fed, diapered, cuddled, and napped — but still grouchy (don’t we all have days like that?) — that mobile would give me 10 minutes of whine-free peace so I could recharge for the next round.

This mom found a similar secret, but it’s not a mobile.  Watch and see:

Soothing baby Brixton — four months old — is as easy as playing a little Gypsy by Fleetwood Mac.  But don’t you dare turn it off.  (Also, check out those chubby baby wrists!)

Did you or do you have a secret for calming a fussy baby?

My son did this with one particular song from a Yo Yo Ma album. And he was also deathly terrified of Raffi singing Day-O.
