TLC Stops Filming on ‘Kate Plus 8′
Earlier this week, Kate Gosselin and TLC decided that the show must go on … without Jon.
Renaming the reality series “Kate Plus 8,” producers planned to focus on Kate’s life as a single mom and leave Jon to his midlife crisis.
But a sign posted on the Gosselin’s front gate (pictured) and a statement from his legal team proves that Jon’s not leaving quietly:
As legal counsel for Jon Gosselin, I am totally confident that he will be completely successful in his quest to take back control of his family and preserve, protect and ensure their future well-being by putting the brakes on his divorce and pulling the plug on TLC, the media giant that he perceives as a monster that has exploited and manipulated his family and has been partially responsible for the breakdown of his marriage.
Jon seemed to have not interest in saving his family’s future from the media “monster” until that monster stopped paying his bills. No matter what his motivation may be, TLC had no choice but to stop production until the legal matter gets resolved.
Do you think that Jon Gosselin is retaliating against TLC and Kate? Or do you think he’s really having second thoughts?

jenny tries too hard commented on Oct 01 09 at 9:37 pmewwweee…”control of his family”? Jon can say that dandy little bit of macho crap, but Kate’s the control freak? Weird.
Alyson commented on Oct 01 09 at 10:45 pmNever in a million years would I have thought I’d be on “Team Kate” but this guy’s just such a douche…

well let’s hope he’s not planning to homeschool them… but boy oh boy he sure knows how to make an ugly situation even uglier.
RP commented on Oct 02 09 at 7:46 amThe family should never have been on television in the first place. Jon and Kate are both media whores.
z commented on Oct 02 09 at 9:41 amRegardless of what you think of Jon, getting the kids off TV is the right thing to do. If Kate really cared about her kids, she’d be trying to keep the cameras away as well, but she cares about fame. There are no good guys in this scenario – RP is right.
Mistress_Scorpio commented on Oct 02 09 at 4:52 pmSo Z, what career path should she now take? You know, one that would afford her the time and money to care for 8 kids? Just wondering.
MMCMomma commented on Oct 03 09 at 3:26 pmZ: You know, I’m pretty anti-fame whore, but if I had eight children I suddenly had to support alone, I’m fairly certain I’d be dressing them up in name brands for promotional purposes and allowing cameras in, as well.
Seperately: It’s always been my thought that Kate might just chill a bit with Jon out of the picture. A man like that (Lazy, irresponsible, unwilling and unable to take the blame for his own actions, slightly sociopathic) would drive ANY partner to be controlling and paranoid. I hope she wins, and I hope she takes his testicles with her, to keep as a trophy in a jar on her nightstand. No, I’m not bitter about men like him, not at all…
Marj commented on Oct 03 09 at 7:11 pmIt’s about money. He’s hoping to force them into paying him off so they can continue the show.
Wet Saw commented on Oct 19 10 at 12:50 amJon Gosselin maybe a womanizer but i think he is a good father too~..
