Morning News – Sarah Palin Gets Mavericky
Great headling from Reuters this morning — “Sarah Palin is ‘Going Rogue’ with early release of memoir.”
What, pray tell, does this mean?
According to Reuters, it means that Ms. Palin’s memoir, “Going Rogue: An American Life”, will be in stores on November 17 of this year. Her book deal was announced four months ago.
What can fans and detractors expect to find in the tome? Reuters quotes the Anchorage Daily News, saying that Palin told her local paper that she is pleased to have an “unfiltered forum” because “there have been so many things written and said through mainstream media that have not been accurate.” You betcha.
Someone posted a Facebook poll with the following question: “Should Obama be killed?” The Secret Service is investigating. Guys? You kind of can’t threaten the life of the President of the United States. Even if you really, really don’t like him. But does a poll asking IF he should be killed constitute a threat? I don’t know the answer to that, but I do know that if you post a poll like that, you’re a schmuck. Schmuckiness is not, however, against the law. We’ll have to see how this plays out.

Finally, here’s a job I wouldn’t want — defending Roman Polanski. Jeff Berg, described as Polanski’s “Hollywood representative,” told ABC’s Good Morning America that “The entire narrative surrounding [Polanski's] situation over the last 32 years has been wrought with complications and inconsistencies.” Um, Jeff? Did he sleep with a 13-year-old and then leave the country? I think he kinda did. Am I missing something here?
