bleeding billboard 8489 1246718179 0 Giant Bleeding Child’s Head Warns N. Zealanders to Drive SaferI have to hand it to the Kiwis, they’re public awareness campaigns aren’t boring. First it was the baby throwing PSA and now this billboard of a child’s head which bleeds from the eyes, ears and nose every time it rains. The purpose for this child’s constant massive brain hemorrhages is pretty obvious: to remind New Zealanders to drive safer in the rain. Oh, let’s let them explain it:

Get it? Neither do I. Kind of reminds me of the “This is Your Brain on Drugs” campaign that played in the US a long while back. All I learned then was doing cocaine is like waking up to the smell of a delicious breakfast.

*I* think that’s a huge improvement over Using Drugs = Frying Eggs in a Pan at High Heat. But I want more bleeding scalp wounds on that billboard, like on the kid’s forehead and up above the hairline. The top of his head is far too unbloodied for the intended message, IMO.
