To celebrate legalized gay marriage in Vermont, Ben and Jerry is changing the popular “Chubby Hubby” ice cream to “Hubby Hubby” for a month.

“The legalization of marriage for gay and lesbian couples in Vermont is certainly a step in the right direction, and something worth celebrating with peace, love – and plenty of ice cream,” said Ben & Jerry’s CEO Walt Freese.

I think it’s great when a big company put’s its neck out like this. I wonder what kind of backlash Ben and Jerry’s will experience from ice cream consuming gay marriage opponents. Will those people see eating Ben and Jerry as “an abomination to God”? Will they no longer allow their kids to have Cherry Garcia, Phish Food or any other flavor made by those twin liberal, “immoral” frozen cream peddlers?

And the FOX News histrionic screaming begins in 3…2…1.

I don’t even like peanut butter in my ice cream and I will be buying this to make it a success. Can’t wait for Glen Beck to cry about how Ben & Jerry’s is trying to shove the gay agenda down his throat.

Yay Ben & Jerry’s! I love how they use ice cream to make political statements.

And I am also getting a kick out of the fact that the CEO’s last name is “Freese.” Ha!

This works out well for me because I want to support this AND I like peanut butter in my ice cream.

Comments: I don’t believe in same-sex marriages, and I’m sorry, but I’ve bought my last pint of Ben & Jerry’s.

I am for gay marriage, you can do what you want but the fact that it is a dessert with fudge packed into it, i mean Fudge Packer, is a homosexual slang. Do you think they did this on purpose? hahahahahaha

Cool! I love Ben & Jerry’s and I’m gonna go get me some Hubby Hubby ice cream. Usually it’s a no-no for me cuz’ it’s too fattening, but I’m still breastfeeding my babies so I can get away with it!

I mean, peanut butter, pretzel and fudge ice cream–that’ll beat any political stance.
