Mom Fakes Child Abduction to Go to Disney World

28ja0so Mom Fakes Child Abduction to Go to Disney WorldIt sounded like a ripped-from-a-TV-movie nightmare. Bonnie Sweeten called 911 after her she and her daughter were carjacked and held hostage by a duo of black men. A manhunt ensued, searchers raced against time to rescue the 38-year-old Pennsylvania mom and her 9-year-old daughter.

The searchers would never find the two black men. They never existed. Neither did the carjacking. Meanwhile Sweeten and her daughter were riding It’s a Small World at Disney World.

Sweeten faked the carjacking in order to evade an impending arrest for swindling almost $300,000 from her ex’s 92-year-old grandfather. Sweeten put some of the stolen money toward expensive fertility treatments.

Two days after Sweeten’s distress call, FBI arrested the woman at Disney World. A judge sentenced her 9 to 23 months in prison.

The Disney World arrest brought a new low to a life spiraling out of control. Sweeten’s second husband recently filed for divorce. In the midst of her dissolving marriage, Sweeten gave birth to a third child, via fertility treatments, last year. At the time of her arrest, authorities found Sweeten carrying stolen credit cards from her former boss.

After Sweeten’s judgment, her anguished father, William Siner, attacked two cameramen waiting outside the courtroom.

As the judge in the case remarked on Sweeten’s crimes, the honor pointed out Sweeten’s worst offense, beyond traumatizing her daughter, might be tearing open the country’s racial wound with a falsified portrayal of black hoodlums.

Is this a National Enquirer headline? She did not fake an abduction to “go to Disney World”. She faked it to avoid arrest.
