Shalom Sesame Revisited
Mozel Tov! A-list stars like Jake Gyllenhaal, Ben Stiller, Debra Messing, and Christina Applegate will be embracing and celebrating their Jewish heritage with appearances in a brand new Sesame Street styled show aimed at educating Jewish-American kids about their culture.
The twelve part series called “Shalom Sesame” will be for preschoolers and will be hosted by the gregarious Muppet Grover. The show will feature some segments that will be filmed at important sites such the Western Wall, where they are currently filming.
There was a previous incarnation of “Salome Sesame” that was produced back in 1986 and it sold over 1 million copies on VHS and DVD. That version starred famous Jewish celebrities such as Joan Rivers, Paul Schaffer and Jerry Stiller & Anne Meara (who’s son will be in the updated edition). The new version will be refreshed, renewed and will also have a interactive web component as well as a variety of outreach elements.
The new series is due to premiere in December 2010, just in time for Hanukkah.

In the new book about hysterectomy, THE H WORD, Chapter 48 is titled “Joan Rivers”Liars: hysterectomy didn’t improve sex life.” You can read about why hysterectomy ruins sex at http://www.hersfoundation.org.
