Muppet Show Comics On Sale
Boom! Studios recently began a series of comic books based on The Muppet Show. The comics have sold extremely well, much like Boom’s Disney/Pixar series.
Midtown Comics is selling a trade paperback containing the first four issues of the series for $6.99, which is 30% off the cover price of $9.99.
The book will be released on Wednesday, August 26 in comic specialty shops (aka comic book stores, aka Meccas of Geekery, aka Where I Go Every Wednesday And Spend Too Much Money). Amazon won’t even have it until October 6, and then only at full price. See? Comic book stores serve a useful purpose in the life of a Muppet fan.
Pigs In Space, Bear on Patrol, and more — good times, good times. Granted, it probably won’t top R2D2, C3PO, Luke Skywalker and Chewbacca guest showing up on the Swinetrek.
But this is new material.
Amazon recommends the comic for ages 9-12, but if you want to read it before giving it to your kids, I won’t tell.
