Morning News – Brett Favre Returns
Brett Favre signed with the Minnesota Vikings yesterday. Former Denver Bronco Mark Schlereth said on NFL Live that he thought Favre was just waiting until training camp was over to sign with the Vikings. In other words, he wanted to play, but he didn’t want to be bothered with camp.
The general consensus is that Favre is back because he wants to stick it to the Packers. Because they somehow mistreated him by paying him many millions of dollars and then having the nerve to ask him to make a decision and stick with it. Here is a video report with fan reaction in Green Bay.
The other reason Favre is back is that he doesn’t like Jews. What am I talking about? You’ll have to listen to Morning News Live at 9:30am today to find out. (For the record, I have no idea what Brett Favre thinks of Jewish people. But listen to my show anyway. I promise to explain myself.)
Michael Jackson will be buried on August 29, which would have been his 51st birthday. My reaction to this news was simple — he’s not buried yet?
Lance Armstrong tweeted that he wanted some company while cycling. Lots of people showed up. I know we’re supposed to love Lance because he’s a great athlete and is a cancer survivor, but there’s something about him I can’t stand. I know, let it go.
Despite all the hotting and hollering at Health Care Town Halls this summer, most Americans haven’t changed their views about the health care bill, according to a recent NBC poll. The people who thought President Obama is a secret communist sent to destroy our nation still think so, and the people who never thought that still don’t.
Dell released a new cell phone in China. Oh, you didn’t know that? Nobody else did either.
Archie Comics #600 goes on sale today at “comics specialty shops”, aka comic book stores, aka The Place I’m Going Later. (I’ll buy more than just Archie though. I’m not a weirdo.) If you’re curious but can’t be bothered to go out and spend money on this sort of thing, you can read the first four pages right here.
Remember to listen to Morning News Live today at 9:30am. I’ll explain what I meant about Brett Favre and the Jews, and our main topic is the anti-bullying workshops in some California schools. 9:30am. Wednesday. Today. Be there.

[...] In tech news, Apple says that they didn’t reject an app from Google Voice that would allow people to make free and low-cost phone calls on the device. They’re just “studying” it. They want to make sure customer’s privacy will be protected. Sure. And Brett Favre is still retired. [...]
