Morning News – Army To Require Stress Training
In a move that seems long overdue, the United States Army “plans to require that all 1.1 million of its soldiers take intensive training in emotional resiliency,” according to a report in the New York Times. 1.1 million soldiers sounds like a low number to me. Not sure why.
Public option? What public option? The new thing, at least I think it’s new, is health care co-ops.

Personally, I prefer health care condos. Fewer rules, you know? (Rim shot.)
Cocaine was found on 95 per cent of the money in Washington, D.C. That’s a big number. Overall, the amount of cocaine found on banknotes is up 20% from 2 years ago, according to USA Today. Snort.
Some folks want a tax deduction for pet care. Representative Thaddeus McCotter (R- Mich.) wants to pass the HAPPY Act. HAPPY stands for “Humanity and Pets Partnered Through the Years”. According to PawNation, “the bill, if passed, will allow an individual to deduct a maximum of $3,500 for ‘qualified pet care expenses’ for any ‘qualified pet’.” Woof.
Inflation is lower. Take that, naysayers. (I’ve never sure who I’m saying “take that” to. Maybe Glenn Beck?)
And finally, there are certain N.Y. lawmakers that have started collecting their pensions while still working. Sometimes they “retire” from a job, keep the job, and get two checks. Nice work if you can get it.
