Born 11 weeks premature and weighing just two pounds, Warwick spent the first several weeks of his life in intensive care. Doctors told his parents that he would most likely not survive, and if he did, he would be deaf, blind, and quadraplegic.

So Warwick’s parents, David and Leigh, made the heartwrenching decision to take Warwick out of the incubator, so they could hold him and cuddle him during the last few days of his life. Doctors didn’t expect him to last more than a night on his own. But, although his heart stopped beating 18 times, each time Warwick brought himself back from the brink of death.

After eight days of Warwick surviving outside the incubator, David and Leigh were able to take their baby home. Three months later, Warwick’s infection had cleared up and amazed doctors pronounced him out of the woods.

A few days ago, the “miracle baby” celebrated his first birthday. Although he lives with cerebral palsy, Warwick is otherwise a healthy–and apparently quite hardy–little toddler.

Happy birthday baby Warwick!… this is such a great story. My friends would really like this story. Their daughter was born 3 months premature, and I found a great book for them to read. It’s called Natural Success Principles by Jack Hatfield.
This book isn’t about premature babies, however, Jack Hatfield wrote this book after his daughter who was ‘forced from the womb’ too early. This made him believe you have everything you need to succeed inside you before we were born. It’s true. Once you check out the book you will realize you do have everything you need to scuceed before you were born!
