Shock Jock Lie Detector Reveals Girl’s Childhood Rape
An Australian mom majorly screwed up when she brought her daughter onto a morning radio show known for hooking people up to lie detectors, only to out her daughter’s childhood rape during a live broadcast.
The mom said she wanted to find out if her daughter was doing drugs and having sex – the normal teenage misdeeds. But the folks behind Kyle and Jackie O’s Lie Detector say the mom failed to tell them that her daughter had been raped at twelve years old, and the question “have you had sex,” was going to prompt a yes whether she’d been sneaking around or not.
It only gets worse. The radio DJ, Jackie O, stops the torture and asks the girl if she’s alright while her mom sits there, mum. When the DJ then asks if the girl has had any counseling, the mom says no!
This after Mom had admitted moments before that she’d learned about the girl’s rape several months before. WTF??
A fourteen-year-old girl reveals she was raped as a twelve-year-old and mom doesn’t get her counseling . . . then she wonders why her kid is sneaking out at all hours of the night and being brought home by the police.
Listening to the segment gave me the creepy crawlies – first that a mother would bring her teen daughter onto a show to find out if she’s having sex. Because a good old-fashioned, “kid, we’ve got something to talk about” talk at the kitchen table wouldn’t work? Even at fourteen, even if it’s consensual, she’s still a kid.
But once the details came out about the girl’s past, the mother turned from clueless to cruel. Good news here, the show is picking up the bill to finally get this kid some counseling.

I’m glad the show is giving her some help and I don’t necessarily think the subject matter (as it was intended) was inappropriate. But that mom… what a piece of work she is.

I’m glad that poor girl will now get help, but it sounds like the Mom is the one who needs her head examined.
Lisa commented on Nov 19 09 at 8:09 pmI’m in Australia and have heard all about it… yes, completely true about what the mother is like… However the DJ’s for some reason didnt adopt the normal 7-second delay for when this sort of thing happens, and the male DJ got in trouble for then asking ‘so have you had any other sexual experiences’. Was mostly likely an attempt to move on, but still got in quite a bit of trouble, the people running the show didnt do their bit right at all either.
