Joe Jackson Ready To Exploit His Grandchildren
Unfair headline? Here’s the one from the Daily News:
Joe Jackson sees Paris, Blanket as future stars
Or “meal ticket.” Depending on how you want to look at it.
Michael Jackson’s father Joe told “Good Morning America” the following: “I keep watching Paris. She maybe wants to do something.” Oy. This line was my favorite: “And Blanket, he can really dance.”
Because life isn’t going to be weird enough for these children.
I don’t know what goes on in the lives of the Jackson family. I do know that Michael, in his way, appears to have tried to keep his offspring out of the spotlight. Now that he’s died, they’re suddenly everywhere. And if Joe Jackson has his way, they’ll get even more exposure.
“I worry about the Jackson family [getting custody] only because I worry slightly about the father, from what Michael told me about that father,” Klein told CNN’s “Larry King Live.”
Arnold Klein, Jackson’s doctor and Debbie Rowe’s former boss, said on CNN’s “Larry King Live” that he’s worried “about the Jackson family [getting custody] only because I worry slightly about the father, from what Michael told me about that father.”
Custody hasn’t been determined. There will be a hearing on July 20. I admit that I’ve lost track of all of the reports on this story. I do feel comfortable saying that I think Joe Jackson’s track record speaks for itself, and maybe Grandpa shouldn’t be allowed to make decisions for Michael Jackson’s children.

I had never even really seen the children until Michael died. Now they are everywhere! It is so sad! I think that Michael Jacksons mother is just as guilty for everything that happend to the Jackson children. Even if she didn’t partake in it she still alowd it all to happen. She was obviously not capable of protecting her own children and what makes her any more capable now to protect her grandchildren?

Of course, it was poignant that she spoke about her dad, but it did seem very strange to thrust them up into the public light when all Michael ever did was try to keep them out of it! At the same time, Michael did leave the children to his mother! Did he really think she would be different with them than she was with her children!

Jezebel posted this very same issue, and was rightly called out by their readers that the interviewer was asking a *highly* leading and speculative question: “Does your eye see any possibility of their growing into performers…someday?” OF COURSE, he’s going to answer in some way to the affirmative. Joe Jackson can’t not be publicity whoring and no one has wanted to talk to him for years. For interviewers, he’s the train wreck that keeps on giving. They will keep shoving a mic in front of his piehole and he will keep bringing the crazy. He’s an a-hole, but making up shit about him doesn’t say anything more about him, it says more about the trustworthiness of the “news” source.

As for Joe, he could not do the interview. Or say “I’d rather not talk about that now.” Or “not my decision to make.” Or something along those lines. Also, sometimes - not always, but sometimes - those “leading” questions are not spontaneous. Joe Jackson may have wanted the question asked. I have no way of knowing that of course. But it’s possible.
Mostly, I’m with you - he’s just insanely creepy.
