Bad Parent Alert: Dad Takes Kid to Help Bury Dead Body
As if a father taking his fifth grader with him to bury a dead body isn’t enough. Guess who the dead body belonged to. . .
A hooker! Oh come on, you saw that coming, didn’t you?
And to top it off, dad, Alan Jett, allegedly picked up said prostitute (the poor dead woman) while WITH his fifth grade son. The little boy says they all went back to their apartment, and dad and the woman went into the bedroom. They had an argument about money, and police say Jett killed her – telling the boy she was “sleeping” in his bedroom.
But a Fox News report states that when the boy went to look for her again, he found her wrapped in blankets duct-taped together . . . and when the body was starting to decompose, Jett made the boy help him load it in the back of their car and then dump it off in a field.
We use “bad parent” in a very cheeky way here on Babble.com, but it sounds like this guy has been on a real bad parent path from the get-go. A few ground rules here folks . . . even before we hit “thou shalt not kill,” how about “thou shalt not solicit sex in the presence of your child?” Or heck, “thou shalt not involve your innocent child in your criminal activities?”
The good news, dad’s influence has not yet destroyed his child: the kid led police to the field. Now with an aunt, he’s supposed to be reunited with his mother soon.
His dad has thus far been charged with first degree murder, but I’m thinking some endangerment of a child or child abuse charges are in order here – don’t you?
