do you know what an older man can give you aids 150x150 Creepy PSA PosterI’m all for keeping kids from doing things that they shouldn’t. But this ad seems a tad extreme.

do you know what an older man can give you aids Creepy PSA Poster

Reading the ad, it seems to imply that “school girls” would somehow think it was a great idea to have sex with “older men.” By directing the question at the girls — “Do you know what an older man can give you?” — they seem to be missing the “sleazy coercion” aspect of these trysts. They do acknowledge things other than AIDS as a possible consequence of sex with older men. Broken promises. Broken hearts. Pregnancy. Warts and syphilis. And finally, AIDS and death. So be careful girls!

This ia a big problem in the community where I live. Older men dating teen girls and giving them babies and STDs. The girls have no idea until they have that baby. By then the dude is on another stupid teenager who thinks she is cool cause this older brother wants to be with her.

Men do…Men are…Men will… Only men???
It’s hard enough to grow old as a man in a world where an influencial group of women continue to spread the word that ‘all’ men are evil. You can’t trust them. They… he… them. Maybe it’s just the way the press is oriented to think, but as of late I’ve noticed several stories about women ‘preying’ on young boys, and young girls. Pregnancy would never be an issue in those cases, I guess, but the disease transfer sure should.
Will the ‘I hate men’ group start a campaign against women?

Right. Because, you know, girls can’t get pregnant, or contract a disease, from a young man, or even one the same age as herself. Just the oldies.

Where is the PSA from? I know that this has become a pretty big problem in some countries, so I can understand the PSA depending on where it is. There was recently a huge trial on the island where Fletcher Christian’s (Mutiny on the Bounty dude) ancestors live. Apparently rampant sexual abuse of minors has been a problem for decades with many girls leaving the country for New Zealand or Australia because they could no longer deal with it. I can see PSA’s like this being put up there, but I highly doubt the English would go in that direction.
