Schools May Get First Swine Flu Vaccine

vaccine shot 324x205 150x150 Schools May Get First Swine Flu VaccineThe Associated Press is reporting that your kids may get the swine flu vaccine at school this fall. Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius is trying to sell school officials around the U.S. on the idea that the government might need “their buildings for mass vaccinations.”

I know it isn’t meant this way, but doesn’t that sound kind of creepy? “Mass vaccinations” in school buildings? It’s very “Terminator”-esque. (Or as Christian Bale might say — “Ohhh! Gooood for you!”)

While Swine Flu (I guess the name “H1N1″ just isn’t catching on) is no worse than the regular flu that we deal with each winter, “scientists fear it may morph into a more dangerous strain.” So the U.S. is spending money trying to find a vaccine.

Here’s a thought. If they do this at schools, won’t some parents be outraged? That is, if all kids are being lined up and expected to get the shot, what will happen when some parents refuse?

Would you let your kids get a swine flu shot at school?

This is a no brainer. Remember polio? We all got vaccinated.

Michele, I couldn’t agree more.

And before the anti-vaxers start talking about greedy pharma companies, the manufacturer is giving away 100 million doses to the WHO.

The non-vaxers won’t take it. They will believe it is untested and harmful, and more dangerous than the swine flu. Just going by the arguments against other vaccines.

We do vaccinate, but we don’t do flu – healthy immune systems don’t need it!! Same w/ swine flu. Just keep yourself healthy – and if you’re not, then get it if you want! But forcing this fast-tracked vaccine (and yes it is!) truly is creating a terminator like state – forcing it in schools? Not my kids- sorry.

Read this entire article and then see what you think about the free 100 doses. This is all a set up and we as a people need to wake up.

The same year that the polio vaccine was introduced, the definition of polio was changed. At one point, anyone who had any paralysis for any amount of time had poliomyelitis. Then, poliomyelitis was diagnosed only in people who were paralyzed for more than 30 days. So, the cases were going to go down, regardless. The oral polio vaccine (OPV) also caused polio in a not-insignificant amount of people. Vaccines are not a panacea, nor a one-size-fits-all solution.
