Obama Issues Pardon For 10-Year-Old Girl
Forget getting a doctor’s note as an excuse for missing school, get a signed note from the President of the United States instead. Barack Obama traveled to Green Bay, Wisconsin on Thursday for town hall on health care reform. A man in the audience, who got the chance to step up to the mic, announced that he was proud to be there with his 10-year-old daughter who was skipping the last day of school to attend. Obama replied, “oh no! Do you need me to write a note?” The father quickly said “I’ll take you up on that, actually.” Obama then proceeded to the podium to write the absence slip and asked what her name is, the father replied “John Corpus” – his own name. Obama curtly replied with a “no…hers.” Obama approved of the girls name -which is Kennedy. What did the note say? “To Kennedy’s Teacher – Please excuse Kenndy’s absence…she’s with me – Barack Obama.”
According to Green Bay Press Gazette “Kennedy says getting the note “was like the best thing ever” and she plans to frame it. She says she’ll make a copy to give her teacher.”
