Babble Exclusive for Food, Inc.

Posted by editors on June 11th, 2009 at 12:33 pm

Perfectly timed, the documentary film Food, Inc. shines a light on the food industry and the lack of regulation in our country just as US consumers experience a collective awakening in a post- Omnivore’s Dilemma/Fast Food Nation world.

Check out the exclusive clip for Babble readers below of the film Variety says will do “…for the supermarket what “Jaws” did for the beach…”

Inspired? Scared? Both? While buying organic and local is a first step, that alone does not mean our work as parents and citizens is done. Log on to the Food, Inc. website and sign a petition imploring Congress to keep junk food out and healthy food in our kid’s schools. Then hit the theater on date night this weekend to learn more.

Food, Inc. opens Friday. Check your local listings.
