What Does Your Desk Look Like? A Sneak Peek At Your Favorite Bloggers’ Desks
I recently moved my office from one end of the couch in the living room to the spare room upstairs. It’s been a tremendous improvement; I can listen to music up here, I have two windows so I get a ton of light, and the slightly rickety table I use as my desk is a pretty color and has enough room for my daughter to sit with me and draw while I work.
I’m lucky, though – a lot of bloggers I chat with have to use any small space they can get their hands on. So today I tossed out a challenge to some of my favorite bloggers and asked them to send me a picture of their desks, right that second, no cleaning allowed. I think you’ll enjoy the results! And, yes, my desk is in there too.
Enjoy! I’ve got everyone from Jenny The Bloggess to Rita from Surrender Dorothy to Stefania of City Mama. Prepare to feast your eyes!

Julia Roberts commented on Feb 01 12 at 3:35 pmI should really work on my working space, huh? I mean, compared to others mine looks very uninspiring. Does it help that I have two offices – one home and one at our office building? Yeah, didn’t think so.
Barb @ A Life in Balance commented on Feb 01 12 at 3:59 pmNot to get off the subject of desks, but I love the rug above and Heather’s rug. Otherwise, thanks for the peek into real life bloggers!
Liz Henry commented on Feb 01 12 at 4:53 pmI loved this! And I’m feeling so much better about my work station. Mid way through I was all: who in the hell uses two computers?! Yeah, I do too. Only took me 6 pictures to figure that out.
Christine @ Quasi Agitato commented on Feb 01 12 at 5:14 pmThank you! What a fun peek!
justicefergie commented on Feb 01 12 at 5:14 pmha! loooove seeing everyone’s workspace – we (well, clearly not all of us) need Extreme Makeover – Mom Blogger Edition!
Christina Gleason @ Cutest Kid Ever commented on Feb 01 12 at 5:31 pmNone of those are messy. MY desk is messy. I just blogged it for Wordless Wednesday. ;-)
Megan (Best of Fates) commented on Feb 01 12 at 6:18 pmThose are all fabulous. And I had no idea there’s such a two computer trend out there – I’ve clearly fallen behind!
Krystal Grant commented on Feb 01 12 at 7:46 pmI love this post. It’s great to see the work space of my fellow bloggers. My desk is very neat and organized because I NEVER use it. I usually sit on the floor or on my couch with laptop in hand burning the midnight oil.
Redneck Mommy commented on Feb 01 12 at 8:35 pmI really need a desk. Or at least a fancier counter top.
vanessa commented on Feb 01 12 at 8:48 pmmy space roams, it depends on the time of deay – the kitchen counter, the diningroom table, or like now – in bed! but i do see from the recurring theme that i might need another computer. the cool bloggers have 2. ;)
Aimee Giese | Greeblemonkey commented on Feb 02 12 at 1:07 amFunny, I totally used Pinterest to redesign my office last summer. It’s not always neat but I really thought through what I wanted, fun and practical – since I am working from home now.
Love all the photos!
Rachel Blaufeld commented on Feb 02 12 at 9:15 amI am in the process of moving from an alcove on the 1st floor to the spare room — let you know how it goes — designing now and moving next week. giving my alcove to tween boys to use for homework and computer work.
michelle s. commented on Feb 02 12 at 10:57 amThis is so reassuring to me. I’m glad I’m not the only one with odd objects and piles. :)
Lynn commented on Feb 03 12 at 7:15 amI think my desk probably beats you all since you can write your name in the dust on the CPU and accessories and the kids play on it and neither my husband myself or my kids can get up and walk 10 feet to the trash can… {Just an FYI – the cats in “Jenny the Bloggess” are cleaning. They are very good about getting into those tight spots and getting the dust off of cords. Just don’t spray them with Pledge first – they will never forgive you.}
Alison @ Ingredients, Inc. commented on Feb 03 12 at 9:53 amgreat post idea!!
Sarah Caron commented on Mar 05 12 at 9:05 pmOh my goodness! My husband always makes fun of me when I have two (or worse, two and a tablet) computers going at the same time. Glad it’s not just me!
