“I do not want art for a few any more than education for a few, or freedom for a few.” ~William Morris

I published my first Braggy Mom Alert: An Homage to My Little Artist a while back showcasing my son’s artwork from years of lessons. Today, I’m gushy proud again to share part II with new pieces created within the last few years.

The point of these homage posts (aside from seeing my son’s face light up each time one of you leaves a complimentary comment), is to share the wonder and importance of children’s art with the Babble audience.

There are so many things we can do as parents to promote an appreciation of art. Trips to museums and libraries, involvement in community art instruction, and Disney Family’s tips for Encouraging Your Child to be Creative Through Art are wonderful ways to encourage our budding young artists.

With a little creative inspiration, our kids can go far!

These pieces are remarkable.
Your little guy is so incredibly talented, Lori!
I can’t wait to see more of his art in the future. :)

Dear child, You have a precious gift. If you saw my drawing of a tree, you might think I was 3 years old. Well, not you at 3 years old, your tree probably had actual leaves and not just big swirls to represent trees. Your parents must spend all their money on frames.

Love them all, but I especially love the lighthouse painting b/c the way he blends the colors in the sky is just amazing! An innate gift, this one has…..

beautiful paintings. great eye for balance and proportion. Love the lighthouse and the owl. an amazing talent and i’m very glad that, as parents, you encourage and nurture that talent, for it’ll always be something he has inside him that no one can ever touch.

Wow. Just wow. His work is absolutely beautiful. I especially love the roses and the tiger…
Quite honestly, I would buy prints of these to hang on my walls!

LOVE the cardinal and the boats! But, it’s so hard to pick faves — they are all incredibly well done!! Keep at it! :)

Wow, I stumbled in this site, and just had to leave a comment. Your son is really, really talented. My favorite is the octopus – very unusual and interesting placement on the canvas. Regards:)
