Dancing Nostalgia (Video)
Going through all these photos from the past year has sucked me into this enormous vortex of nostalgia. I’m so present in the moment right now that I forget I had this whole other life before we moved into this house, Addie went off to school and became a big sister. When I look at baby photos of Addie I feel as though I want a do over. I want a do over without postpartum depression where I am able to fully enjoy the wonderful baby she was and always has been.
Thankfully part of the nostalgia I’ve collected includes so many videos of my tiny little Addie, before she knew who Justin Beiber was and before she knew how to really talk back.
One of my favorites is of her dancing like no one is watching, mostly because she didn’t know I was watching. She didn’t have any music, just a borrowed dress up dress, I added the music later.
Proof that she’s always danced to her own little rhythm in her head.
Happy New Year everyone, here’s to another year of our little people getting so much bigger.

I love the video of Addie dancing made all the more cute by knowing that when you filmed it there wasn’t any music. Thank you for sharing you life and children. I look forward to you blog post everyday. As I tend to live vicariously through them. In a totally not creepy sort of way, of course.
