Introducing a New Family on the Block
I am so excited to introduce myself and my chaotic kids and thrilled to join the other bloggers here on Kid Scoop. I am looking forward to sharing our kid-fun filled happenings but first – how about a little introduction.
I’m a Canadian mom to three kids and married to my husband for almost 8 years. I am a work from home parent with no childcare while my husband works outside the house – weird hours that keep him out most of the kids ‘awake’ time.
Like I said I’ve got three children – two who you will be hearing more about since the youngest is still a rambunctious toddler. Known online as Babe E she is nearing 3 years old and is the babe of the family (so far).
Next up the line comes our middle child Princess R who is 4 years old (turning 5 soon if you ask her). She is in her first year of French Immersion kindergarten (junior if you’re familiar with Ontario schools) and she goes every other day for the full day. Full of artistic talent she is always keeping us on our toes. She has been diagnosed with celiac disease (just like mommy) so we have some challenges as far as ensuring her food is safe for her.
Our oldest and only boy is known online as Big P. He will be turning 6 years old in just a couple of weeks and has most of the typical first-child qualities about him. Very set in his rules, he strives and exceeds expectations when he has a firm grasp of what they rules and guidelines are. He is in his second year of school and also enrolled in French Immersion kindergarten (but he’s a senior) he also goes every other day for full days.
I consider us a family with a ’gentle parenting’ style and I find that influences a lot of my day-to-day parenting. Not always with the grain but always with a lot of love. My husband and I don’t always see eye-to-eye when it comes to exactly how to raise our children which can add a fun and interesting dynamic to otherwise normal, everyday things.
