Bobo Choses is a designer kids line based out of Spain. We love their fresh designs! They are perfect for kids but clever enough adults can appreciate them too.

Whenever I come across a new designer that I love, it just makes my entire day. But when that said designer Carolyn makes amazing clothing for boys (Mudslinger) out of her studio in Brooklyn, well that makes my entire year! I don’t have to tell you that I’m crazy about dressing up my son and how grateful I am that he wasn’t born 10 years ago when all I could get for him would be tees with footballs and trucks on them. Thankfully, we live in the hear and now and Mudslinger clothing is definitely hip and now.

I hate to admit it, but I’m not the kind of mom to spontaneously bring home a big bag of goldfish from the pet store. I know the little swimmers looks so cute, but 20 minutes after we’d get them home, my kids would be “over” them. My children are too young and I am just too busy trying to keep all of the non-aquatic members of my family clean & fed. Oy.

Peek…Aren’t You Curious is one of my favorite lines of clothing for kids. If you’re not not familiar with Peek, think of it as California-surfer-chic with thoughtful details, luxe materials, and interesting finish work that elevates it above many of the lines out there.

I have noticed lately that my seven year old daughter and I are often sartorially in sync. This may be in part because now, more than when I was a child, little girl’s clothes are pretty much shrunken versions of women’s (think J.Crew and Crewcuts, pictured here). And, I do love shopping for my daughter as much as myself and thus, my sprees generally yield clothing for her that I wish were made in my size.
However, our dressed-alike days have truly been serendipitous. Just the other day, we both emerged from our bedrooms wearing denim shorts, white shirts, and leather sandals—mine black, her’s a dark brown. And here’s the thing, as much as I don’t go for my daughter and I being a “twin set,” I do get a kick out of our serendipitous clothing coordination. (Read more about our sartorial synchronicity.)
