We Have Liftoff!
I’m working on a dollhouse right now for my little girl, and I hope that my son will enjoy playing with it too when he’s a little older, but still. Dollhouses are inherently feminine, no? This spaceship on the other hand, looks like a good gender-neutral dollhouse alternative.
There are four levels, but the top is removable to double as a landing module. The Discovery Spaceship and Liftoff Rocket is available on Giggle.com for $130.

Marietta commented on Dec 02 11 at 5:04 pmMy son loves to play with dollhouses, and I hope he absorbs my love for design. Little girls can throw a mean fastball, and little boys can have a favorite doll (and stylish house for that doll to live).
Kat commented on Dec 03 11 at 1:30 pmThey are usually feminine, but I grew up with the Playmobil Victorian Mansion, and all the neighborhood boys loved it! They mostly staged battle scenes, but still. The fact that Playmobil offers a lot of bearded male figures probably broadens the appeal. Of course, an imaginative child will turn any toy into hours of fun!
I especially love this spaceship because it is wooden!
