 Amazing New Camera, Lytro, Lets You Focus AFTER Taking the PictureSometimes products come out that make you feel like you’re living in the future. Take this camera, for instance. It’s the first ever consumer light field camera, and it works like no other camera out there. The photos it produces are called “Living Pictures” because the information encoded is fluid and can be focused and refocused. Here’s an example. Try clicking around on the photo below.

Cool, right? And here’s another reason this camera is so great, especially for parents. Ever miss a shot because the camera focused on the wrong part? Now everything can be in focus, every time! Here’s a video about how the camera works.

The camera comes in three models. The 8GB blue and gray Lytros each hold about 350 pictures and sell for $399. The 16GB red version holds 750 pictures and is $499. All are available directly from Lytro and will begin shipping in early 2012.
