25 Awesome Advent Calendars
Advent calendars are a great way to be deliberate about celebrating the holidays. Without one, it’s easy to let the days pass without notice, and then all the sudden it’s Christmas and you’ve hardly celebrated at all. If nothing else, they are a visual reminder to make each day special. Since it’s November 1st, now would be a good time to start planning an advent calendar if you’re going to have one this year. These 25 options range from intricate hand-made beauties to simple and straightforward options you could put together with things you have on hand the night before December 1. See them all after the jump.

Mrs. Kate B. commented on Nov 04 11 at 3:28 pmHave you seen the muffin tin advent calendar? We did it last year. Using two 12 tin muffin tins, I put a treat in each spot and taped a round, numbered piece of paper over each as a lid. The girls peeled off a paper circle each day to reveal their treats. They loved it, and it was super easy for me to create *totally* last minute.
beyoncien commented on Mar 13 12 at 6:09 amI’ve never really thugoh about making “Advent goals” before, but it’s a beautiful idea. I especially love your goals to do acts of service, generosity, and love. I hope to light the candle(s) on our Advent wreath every night while we eat dinner and pray an Advent meal prayer that I came across before we eat. That’s all I’m really feeling up to with the baby coming, but I anticipate I’ll be a little more ambitious next year.Your Advent facts are awesome, I’m a bit ashamed to admit that almost all of that was new information to me! Thanks, Kaylene!
