Jill Boysen commented on Jun 02 11 at 11:59 amAs a single full time working parent my style has changed just a bit – While still a girly girl I dont waer as much makeup and my accessories seem to be baby toys vs jewelry.
Erica commented on Jun 02 11 at 12:01 pmI have become more open to new styles!
Ronda commented on Jun 02 11 at 12:02 pmSince becoming a parent, my style has changed a lot!! No longer am I the short skirt and tank top wearing girl I was before, but now I am the sundress, long skirt, jeans and t-shirt kind of mom :) I wouldn’t change a thing!! Oh and let’s not forget the perma-ponytail on my head!!
Tiana Dahan commented on Jun 02 11 at 12:05 pmSince becoming a parent my style has changed for the better, I’m feeling more comfortable in my own skin and I just wear what I feel like , what feels comfortable and of course cute :) but my number one priority is comfort !
Stephanie commented on Jun 02 11 at 12:12 pmMy hair and makeup now get done in the car in front of my office. No more time for primping!
Rachel R commented on Jun 02 11 at 12:20 pmIt has changed some. When I was just a babysitter everything was black and white. Rules were given to me and I enforced them. Now I have more responsibility making and enforcing the rules. Makes my style more relaxed than I thought it would be.
Gita prasad commented on Jun 02 11 at 12:33 pmMy style has changed a lot. I spend less time on getting myself ready and less time shopping for myself. I had to get rid of a lot of the ” single lady” type of clothes and more into urban type ” mom clothes”. This is why I love my girls nights out, it allows me to be sexy mama again.
Elizabeth P. commented on Jun 02 11 at 12:37 pmMy goodness has my style changed. I used to be the stylish trendy one and now I’ve resorted to wearing things that are easily cleaned! It was rough when I was still breastfeeding and I had to choose outfits that were “feeding” friendly. Babe #2 is hopefully going to get the mOmma to try =)
mjb commented on Jun 02 11 at 12:39 pmI think my style has changed mostly to become more practical – no use in wearing something dry clean only if it’s going to get spit up on. Also, if I spend too much time picking out an outfit, chances are I’m going to have to change clothes before I leave the house.
sue commented on Jun 02 11 at 12:42 pmI spend more time getting the baby ready for daycare than I do getting ready for the office!
nichole commented on Jun 02 11 at 12:44 pmlove it
Jessica commented on Jun 02 11 at 12:45 pmMy style has changed only because i am away from work. My dress pants and shirts are all stored for the dreaded return to work day. I have been embracing T’s and casual pants!
Elizabeth commented on Jun 02 11 at 12:47 pmSince becoming a mom I have noticed I have transfered my style to my daughter and she looks better than me, lol. Only now after a year have I started to get back into the style scene, but not as much as before.
Jen commented on Jun 02 11 at 12:49 pmI rarely wear anything that needs ironing or dry cleaning. At the same time, I’m quite conscious of what I wear and try not to look to mommish :) Oh and no more bikinis.
Teri commented on Jun 02 11 at 12:50 pmMy style has not changed all that much. I am super casual and easy going, except now I have spit up on my shirt!
amber valenzuela commented on Jun 02 11 at 12:53 pmMy style has definately changed. Makeup is more simple and I have embraced my curly hair instead of blow drying it straight everyday. I have not worn high heels since before I was prego, I use to wear them all the time. Now, I go for a more classy comfortable look versus trendy. I love my changes! <3
Tiffany commented on Jun 02 11 at 12:55 pmI dress more practical now. I rarely bring out the heels and I dnt dare to wear silk or chiffon.:)
ASHLEY T commented on Jun 02 11 at 12:56 pmReplaced jewelery with spit up, purses with diaper bags, and soaps with toons!
Tiffany commented on Jun 02 11 at 12:56 pmI dress more practical now. I rarely bring out the heels and I dont dare to wear silk or chiffon.:) I’m usually in yoga wear or anything I can chase my kid around in.
janna commented on Jun 02 11 at 1:11 pmI do not judge other’s parenting styles the way I did before having a kiddo. There is a lot of backstory that goes into each parenting choice I make and it doesn’t necessarily show while walking around Target.
Katherine Montgomery commented on Jun 02 11 at 1:16 pmWow I used to be a carefree person. Now I worry constantly, I am not as stylish as I used to be, I don’t spend money like I used to (I don’t spend money on myself at all lol) I can’t run to the store without prepping for like 15 minutes. Both kids dressed? Diaper bag packed etc etc.
But I wouldn’t go back to my old life in a million years! I love being a mommy to my 2 amazing children and am excited for my next baby on the way! :)
kate commented on Jun 02 11 at 1:18 pmsimply put, laid back. haven’t been shopping in quite awhile! hair stays wet after a shower most of the time. but, wouldn’t trade it for anything.
Kimberly Bitson commented on Jun 02 11 at 1:20 pmI already like your FB page! I wouldn’t say my style has changed too much. Things are a little bigger since I got hips and boobs. LOL. I have a pretty laid back sense of style.
Nikki commented on Jun 02 11 at 1:27 pmI find that I wear a lot more color instead of all black!
Brooke welch commented on Jun 02 11 at 1:30 pmMy style has changed in a way that I want to be more Girly since I have a baby girl now :). Before I was just a Tshirt and jeans kinda gal!
arely colin commented on Jun 02 11 at 1:32 pmyoga pants and t-shirt
Jenn Shock commented on Jun 02 11 at 1:55 pmMy style was not very high maintenance before I had my son, so it has not really changed much. Now that he is 2 and a bit easier to manage, I do find myself leaving the house with make-up more often :)
Mary Michael McDonald commented on Jun 02 11 at 1:59 pmMy style has changed for the better! I have lost almost 20 lbs since my daughter was born and I try to look my best as much as I can without too much work. With the help of my hair stylist, I have a do that works for my hair type while also being low maintenance. My sisters act as my own “Stacy and Clinton” (What Not to Wear) and go shopping with me from time to time. Since time is an issue, I have to be creative and organized, but it works for me!
Stacy commented on Jun 02 11 at 2:15 pmMy style has pretty much stayed the same. I don’t buy it if it isn’t comfortable.
Glamamom commented on Jun 02 11 at 2:38 pmI like your page. Style-wise, I’m a lot more practical. I used to wear heels everywhere and now mostly flats and dark colors :)
Natalie commented on Jun 02 11 at 2:43 pmMy style has always been pretty laid back, but I find myself using fewer pieces that I like more. Maybe since I don’t find the time to go shopping for myself? I think it’s more that I’ve found what looks good on me, and I try to stick to it.
Heidi commented on Jun 02 11 at 3:03 pmMy style is unique. I like many things. Sometimes I’ll go with a sporty look, other times I wear a long sweeping skirt, still other times I will wear a comfy pair of jeans. I like to mix things up and be unique. What I get and what I wear depends on my mood and what the weather is like as well as what I want to get or wear.
Tiffany commented on Jun 02 11 at 3:05 pmMy style hasn’t changed at all.. I just have to buy bigger sizes now and find what I can at stores with names like G-Stage since everything gets thrashed.
trish brown commented on Jun 02 11 at 3:36 pmBefore kids I was always wearing name brand stuff, now its more what washes well, doesnt need to be ironed, and dry clean is way out of the question. I would say to sum up my style now would be, easy!
Crystal Keyzer commented on Jun 02 11 at 3:50 pmI was all about cute shoes and clothing before kids (i would say bohemian style)…now I spend all my money on them and live in lounge wear (eek) Definitely need to change that!
Theresa commented on Jun 02 11 at 3:52 pmmy style hasn’t changed much, though it’s more about comfortable shoes than wearing high heels. (have to be able to move!)
HappyMomC commented on Jun 02 11 at 4:31 pmI always put my baby first, dress her up before I get ready and I spend more time for her than me!
Jeannie commented on Jun 02 11 at 5:32 pmIt would be wonderful to win the basket i can use all the stuff in there. Im a mom that watches what she buys but all ways put the baby first.
Laura commented on Jun 02 11 at 6:33 pmstill the same, jeans and t-shirt, oh well…
Kristy commented on Jun 02 11 at 8:02 pmmy style has changed now being more relaxed….taking each day as it comes…and also changed my priorities and how precious life and family is.
Adrienne commented on Jun 02 11 at 8:18 pmNow I make sure whatever bag I carry is large enough for diapers, stylish enough to carry and functional as my purse so that I don’t carry two bags. I also now find functional tops as I am breastfeeding and need easy access ;)
lace commented on Jun 02 11 at 10:09 pmThe girls wear much cuter clothes than I do and I’d rather shop for them than me.
Stephanie commented on Jun 02 11 at 10:30 pmJust a lot more comfortable!!
Brandy commented on Jun 02 11 at 10:43 pmLOL! I *used* to be an uptight goth girl with a bad attitude and impeccable style. Now, while I still like the music, I don’t fit into the clothes anymore. So I still wear a lot of black, but instead of the vinyl and lace I used to sport, it’s leggings, cotton and anything else that’s washable! And now that I’m pregnant with our second babe, my style has gone even more lax. The way I see it, as long as I’m wearing clothes (as opposed to pj’s), I’m winning! My son, on the other hand, always looks fantastic. It’s obvious where I put my time and effort! Teehee!
Amber McSherry commented on Jun 03 11 at 10:11 amSince becoming a parent I try to make myself look a little more put together and sophisticated. If I can keep myself looking good and organized, hopefully my children will do the same! =)
Jessi commented on Jun 03 11 at 10:42 amSince becomming a parent my style has changed … i definitley can’t put the time and energy into msyelf as i used to. My kids have cuter clothes and come first. Recently i have actually been getting some more stylish stuff for myself and i’m trying to bring back my style :)
Alicia commented on Jun 03 11 at 11:04 amOh this is fun! Let’s see my style and how it has changed. First off my hair is always in a pony tail, not only so the baby doesn’t pull it but also so you can’t tell that I have started to get dreds from not having the time to brush it! Th…e dark circles under my eyes give an extra dark goth look that is all the rage these days. The spit-up that I am always sporting on my shoulders also counter acts as a very bad perfume. Walking around in clothes that are way too big, cause when I am able to get out of the house trying on clothes is the last thing I want to do. Besides I’d much rather pick out a new outfit for one of the kids! To be honest the style I have now is the best in the world, and this gig has it’s perks. Around here I am Paige and Oliver’s Mommy and it doesn’t get any better than that
Ilana commented on Jun 03 11 at 2:29 pmI’d rather shop for my cutie than for me. I dress in more comfortable clothing now!
sherry green commented on Jun 03 11 at 2:46 pmthis would totally be amazing to win!
sherry green commented on Jun 03 11 at 2:56 pmmy lifestyle has changed completely since becoming a mother! i have a very important responsibility and that is my son, I no longer shop for or think of myself anymore, its all about him, his well being and making and molding him into a great man! wouldnt have it any other way!
Melissa commented on Jun 03 11 at 4:56 pmMy decisions are always made thinking about someone else!
rena commented on Jun 03 11 at 5:18 pmliked under user name shaqquitta on fb. Style? I dont even know what style is anymore or whats in style now that i’m a mom.
Nicole T commented on Jun 03 11 at 6:17 pmMy style has changed a little bit! I never get to dry my hair so it’s always up since my little guy is constantly pulling it. I still wear my jewelry and make-up. I still dress about the same, but I definitely was able to wear cuter clothes when I didn’t have all this baby weight that I can’t get off!
Katie commented on Jun 04 11 at 1:31 amI never wear jewlery anymore – too interesting for little fingers.
Kendra commented on Jun 04 11 at 2:33 amI used to wear long pretty dresses, hair done, jewelry. Now all I wear is t-shirt and jeans. However my daughter is always dressed to the nines!
The Knapps commented on Jun 04 11 at 11:22 amI like your Facebook page (Danielle Knapp) and am expecting my first but I imagine I’ll be dressing more casually when baby arrives – becoming more of a jeans and t-shirt kind of person :)
naomi winkel commented on Jun 04 11 at 4:38 pmI don’t think it has really changed for me, I still where the same type of clothes I did before
Rachel H. commented on Jun 04 11 at 4:48 pmWell, I have a 9 month old, and another on the way, so things have become much simpler :) We still stick to a schedule, but the house isn’t quite so perfect anymore :)
Tian H. commented on Jun 04 11 at 5:02 pmi became more simply and casual on my style. and no more thick make up, only moisturizer, loose powder, blush on, and lip gloss. becoming parent also made me think how to make everything more eficient, because i have one more thing to be taking care of.
Erica commented on Jun 04 11 at 5:04 pmNow that I have a 11 yr old, 3 yr old and a 6 month old it seems I barely have time to put chap stick on! Ive become the simple mommy. I wear jeans and a cute top or a sundress with sandals.. anything that gets me out of the house faster and not looking like I just rolled out of bed!
Tabby commented on Jun 04 11 at 5:12 pmi barley have time o take a shower being a mommy to a 5 month old so i have to squeeze it in when he is sleeping at night. my wardrobe contains sweats, boy shorts and t-shirts. i dont have the time or money to try to be in style!! HELP ME!!!!!!!! PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Shannon Qualls commented on Jun 04 11 at 5:49 pmI am more aware of how I dress my sons. I like them to look like little men.
Amanda H commented on Jun 04 11 at 6:39 pmI follow Family Style on FB!!
Being a mom to two boys has definitely made my style more girly and feminine. Somebody has to wear the ruffles in this family!! ;)
Heather commented on Jun 04 11 at 8:22 pmI’m not sure that my style has actually changed, but I just don’t look my best most days!!
Katie commented on Jun 04 11 at 9:18 pmI have become much more eco-friendly.
And I don’t wear stilettos anymore :(
Jen commented on Jun 04 11 at 9:45 pmMy style has become a lot more simple to put together in the last 7 months since my son was born. I have a lot of basic pieces that go well together…which means I usually just throw on a cute combo and move on with my day!
Heather commented on Jun 04 11 at 10:43 pmI left my job when my daughter was born, and my style went from corporate to “every day is laundry day.” I only dress up (meaning, wear something other than tee shirts and jersey shorts or pants) on days when I actually leave the house – and makeup only if I calculate a significant probability of bumping into someone I know. My husband and I recently went on a retreat where I dressed up and fixed my hair and took time with my makeup every day and it felt so great! But when I came home I was like, “I can’t believe I have to pay to have all this stuff dry-cleaned now!”
mackenzie dillavou commented on Jun 05 11 at 4:09 amwell, I am the mother of a beautiful 14 month old her name is Skarlett Olivia. She has changed my life (all good ways) soo I couldn’t just say she has changed my style in appearance but my LIFEstyle…I have had to trade in my usual styled hair for a messy ponytail,my usual hour routine makeup for running mascara(if i’m lucky)and my tight jeans for baggy sweats lol but i’m getting back up to speed with taking care of myself AND her…and might I say by changing my life style in a good way I mean momma was going down the drinking and partying road if it wasnt for her my life would probly still revolve around what party I was going to over the weekend, now she is my best friend so me I transformed from party girl to full time mommy and I wouldn’t trade it for the world hope thats what you guys were asking for ;)
Lindsay Gibson commented on Jun 06 11 at 2:09 amMy style has changed to comfy and stylish not just stylish i dont carew if my feet hurt al the time lol
Andrea Arseneau commented on Jun 06 11 at 10:32 amStyle, moms still have style? I need time when I have time I love to get all dressed up and looking good. My S/O loves it too.
Erica commented on Jun 06 11 at 2:34 pmMy style is pretty much the same, but I notice I pay less attention to my hair and nails. I wish I had more time to spend looking nice, but I wouldn’t trade my time with my daughter for anything!
Lara commented on Jun 06 11 at 4:33 pmI’m not a parent yet – our LO is due in July – but my husband tells me I’m actually dressing BETTER 8.5 months pregnant than I did pre-pregnancy! hahahaha
Eva Scott commented on Jun 06 11 at 8:39 pmThis question made me laugh for some reason. I was the queen of high heels! The higher the better (even for my 5’9″ frame). But, from pregnancy month 8 until now (pregnant with #2 and 2 1/2 years later), I’ve maybe worn heels a handful of times! I do miss them!! :-)
Kristy commented on Jun 06 11 at 9:34 pmWow… how it has changed. No more pretty, dangly jewelry or sexy heels… now it’s all about flats and stud earrings with a ponytail, sigh. Maybe one day I’ll have more than 5 minutes to primp??
Ashley Pelaski-Leezer commented on Jun 07 11 at 12:31 pmStyle… What style? I now wear the first thing I see in the morning (clean or not) and rarely put on makeup. I am seriously lucky if I EVER get to take a shower and it’s like winning the lotto if I get time to fix my hair. Most of the time it’s in a ponytail. Until reading this question, I almost forgot style existed.
Jess commented on Jun 07 11 at 4:00 pmHow has your style changed since becoming a parent?
I now wear exclusive spit-up tailored shirts, haven’t styled my hair since my 6th month of pregnancy with #1 because I’m just too darn exhausted, and can’t find a pair of matching socks to save my life – so sandals it is!
Janella S. commented on Jun 08 11 at 11:40 pmMy style has become more simple and streamlined. I buy fewer things for myself so they have to be basic pieces that can be dressed up or down. I use more accessories to add color. Also, I think I’ve become master of ponytails and chignons!
June commented on Jun 09 11 at 10:54 pmWow!
Andrea Johnson commented on Jun 12 11 at 5:09 pmMy style has changed a lot. I wear clothes that are comfortable vs stylish. I only wear make-up on special occasions. I rarely buy stuff for myself, it’s all for my kids.
Linda Meyers-Gabbard commented on Jun 13 11 at 1:00 pmI’m a mom to 2 furry kids. My style changed when I retired from work to jeans and shorts. I was never blessed with children. But I am going to be blessed with a new niece or nephew in December my baby brother who will be 37 this year and his wife are expecting their first child. I will become an Aunt for the second time. My older brother has one child a girl, my niece, who turned 22 in march.
I have been entering giveaways to help out my younger brother.
jessica commented on Jun 15 11 at 12:48 pmi would love to have this for my sister she is going to a mom in January and i am so exited for her .. she lives with me and my two kids and we need all the help we can get… so thanks for these giveaways….
June commented on Jun 21 11 at 5:20 amMany baby showers to go to this Summer, this would come in handy.
Emily commented on Nov 11 11 at 11:25 pmA LOT! I really TRY to shop for myself once in a while but always end up in the baby section looking for cute steals for my little man! I make sure he always looks cute but I also want to look “cute” again… I basically where leggins or my one of my 2 pairs of jeans that fit postpartum & some kinda shirt to hide the dreaded pouch along with flats or boots. Hair is always twisted up in a clip & I really only put makeup on for a special occasion or when I need a boost. Also, yoga pants & sneakers are my bff’s for errands bc I’m trying to keep myself motivated to work out & tighten up the belly. It’s been a huge struggle for my self confidence getting back to feeling “stylish & pretty” again… *sigh
