Lucy A. commented on May 24 11 at 4:09 pmTHANK YOU! Now I feel validated! :) When my daughter was born in 2000, i wanted a “hanging sky chair” instead of the usual rocking chair, after seeing them at an outdoor art fair. Its a porch chair but i wanted it in my living room of course, and it was The Best! It soon became a plaything for her and her friends that came over and went for rides on it! Later when she was around 4-5, we would also unhook the chair part and just the fabric footrest would be left on the ceiling hook, and she swang on it usually on her belly, running and swinging herself close to a nearby wall she would tag! It was so much fun for us to watch her antics. We noticed she ran to it as soon as we got home at times! Definitely the best $100 bucks we spent!
Amy C. Spaulding commented on May 27 11 at 1:54 amThanks for this post. It brings back great memories. We had a swing in our apartment in Brooklyn Heights when I was growing up. Dad hung the swing from the beam between two rooms and we could swing into the living room from the hallway. My folks took it down only when we had company. It was the greatest thing ever flying through this tiny apartment on a swing. Who does that? Cool parents.
