Would You Let Your Kid Wear This?
A friend recently asked me if I would let my daughter wear one of these swim suits. I had to ask y’all the same question. I will let my toddler wear a two-piece, but something about these suits looks too grown up to me. I feel uncomfortable even sharing the product images. Maybe it’s the tie sides? Or the triangles? Or maybe I’m too uptight? What do you think? Check out more pictures & where-to-buy info, then let us know your opinion after the jump…
Most of these “babikinis” run around $30, and you can purchase them at babikini.com.

amy h. commented on Apr 06 11 at 4:10 pmhell no. horrible message for young girls. i see NOTHING good about these.
Ali commented on Apr 06 11 at 4:12 pmThere is already such a rush for little girls to grow up, these just make it worse. I am so offended that these are even available for purchase. And by the way, in that top photo, where does the diaper go?
Heather J. commented on Apr 06 11 at 4:12 pmno, no no…
just no…
Eliza commented on Apr 06 11 at 4:13 pmNot no, but HECK NO!
Charity commented on Apr 06 11 at 4:14 pmNope. No way on earth.
JenR commented on Apr 06 11 at 4:16 pmAbsolutely NOT!
elly commented on Apr 06 11 at 4:16 pmuh…no.
Tabitha commented on Apr 06 11 at 4:17 pmI would rather let her run around without anything on!
Ellie commented on Apr 06 11 at 4:17 pmi’m right there with you. disturbing to me, maybe not to others but I think it puts off the wrong image of what are “babies” should be.
to another whole new disturbing level though are these bikinis for babies that Abercrombie finally pulled from their shop after an outcry

Ritu commented on Apr 06 11 at 4:18 pmNO NEVER..
jen smith commented on Apr 06 11 at 4:18 pmabsolutely not! my daughter wore a two piece when she was little but it was toddler girl cute. these suits are entirely too sexual. suits like these follow in line with where our society has been heading and is why these days ten year old girls would rather be texting boys than playing with dolls. it’s too much.
sarah commented on Apr 06 11 at 4:19 pmuh…no! A two piece is fine, but let’s keep them kiddie friendly. These look like they are from Little Vickie’s Secret!
Lovemook commented on Apr 06 11 at 4:21 pmNo, first pic – diaper anyone? Plus the bikini top is too sexual. Implies womanhood. These are babies! My 18 mo old has a two piece but it’s all ruffles, covers the swim diaper, one panel top. Let’s face it- on the beach these are the best for diaper changes over one piece, but a line must be drawn.
Allison commented on Apr 06 11 at 4:22 pmNo way–those are disgusting. Let kids look like kids, for Pete’s sake!!
Amanda commented on Apr 06 11 at 4:23 pmI lived in Europe for a few years and there the toddlers typically just wore a swim bottom, no top, and that did not bother me at all. These bother me. I would never let my child wear one of these. The style is too grown up. Not only that, babies need some sort of swim diaper or suit made for accidents.
Grace commented on Apr 06 11 at 4:23 pmThis is sickening. Why do people think it’s cute to sexualize children at younger and younger ages? They are exposed to this stuff so early as it is, and they grow up fast enough. There is no reason for parents to hurry them along, especially in such a warped, demeaning manner. Gross.
Sarah commented on Apr 06 11 at 4:25 pmSo, where would the swim diaper go?? And no, my daughter will not be wearing a 2 piece this year. Or next year.
Alysa (Inspired RD) commented on Apr 06 11 at 4:26 pmWhere is the diaper?????
Christine commented on Apr 06 11 at 4:31 pmThat is just WAY wrong!
Carla commented on Apr 06 11 at 4:34 pmeww.
brittany collins commented on Apr 06 11 at 4:40 pmman, the animal print REALLY doesn’t help.
Nicole commented on Apr 06 11 at 4:43 pmGee, we make things like this and wonder why kids are becoming “grown up” sexually at a young age…? There is no WAY I would let my child wear that. My daughter is 8 and I still wouldn’t let her wear that. Kids need to dress appropriately and not like adults!!! This is disguisting!
Teale Bouly commented on Apr 06 11 at 4:50 pmNOT A CHANCE!! I don’t think a baby should wear anything I personally would not wear as a mother.
Katie commented on Apr 06 11 at 4:50 pmNo and NO! No your not up tight and NO I wouldn’t dress my daughter in those. What’s the urgency to growing up? Bring on the pink ruffles and yellow polka dots…for as long as possible!!
Jessi commented on Apr 06 11 at 4:54 pmNO WAY! I have a son, not a daughter, but if I did, there is no way I would dress her in that. There are sickos out there, unfortunately, and you can never tell who they are. To someone with a sick mind, this is practically pornography.
Nicole Francis commented on Apr 06 11 at 4:54 pmomg. NO NO NO. this is really inappropriate.
jamie commented on Apr 06 11 at 4:56 pmoh my goodness… makes me feel uncomfortable… Heck no!
Rachel commented on Apr 06 11 at 4:58 pmno way, my daughter will be lucky to wear one as a teenager
dawn croom commented on Apr 06 11 at 5:00 pmNOT!!!!!
grace commented on Apr 06 11 at 5:10 pmI don’t really like string bikinis- I don’t think they’re practical for any sort of swimming or beach activity. However, I don’t really see the big deal if someone else does.
Lisa L. commented on Apr 06 11 at 5:13 pmNOT A CHANCE!!!
Tiphanie commented on Apr 06 11 at 5:25 pmOH MY! I was afraid to see the back. lol No way!
Samantha commented on Apr 06 11 at 5:26 pmno way…sorry but I think it is so inappropriate to dress a toddler like that. Makes me very uncomfortable. Why would anyone dress a child so provocatively? It’s too much too too soon…no thanks.
Sarah Craig commented on Apr 06 11 at 5:39 pmNot a chance would I let my almost 2 year old wear that. I let her wear 2 pieces right now, but that’s only b/c it’s too big of a pain to change her swim diaper in a one piece. And her two pieces are tankinis- just showing her belly button. As soon as she’s potty trained she’s wearing one pieces. But that’s just me. The problem with these suits is that they are sexualizing babies, for crying out loud. That’s not funny. It’s just inappropriate and gross.
Susan commented on Apr 06 11 at 5:51 pmNot my thing, but in many countries this would be totally normal. My husband is from Spain and sees nothing wrong with it.
Holly commented on Apr 06 11 at 5:56 pmSeriously this feels like child pornography to me, little girls should NEVER give off the impression of “Sexy”
Anne commented on Apr 06 11 at 6:04 pmSo funny that others think they’d rather let kiddo wear nothing! So would I. A naked child is cute, but an animal print string bikini is weird or worse.
My husband is anti-bikini on little girls, but I love a cutesy ruffly bikini on a toddler. But this? Ew.
Laura @ ON{thelaundry}LINE commented on Apr 06 11 at 6:29 pmAt NO age would I ever let a daughter of mine wear this, at least not without a long chat about what she is trying to project to the people who see her. That includes adulthood. Good grief!
Jessica commented on Apr 06 11 at 6:46 pmDisgusting…makes me sick. I’m sure all the child molesters love this. I agree with others, it is borderline child pornography.
Malea commented on Apr 06 11 at 6:51 pmThere is no way I would let my daughter wear one of these…ever! There is just something very wrong about this whole thing.
Amanda commented on Apr 06 11 at 7:04 pmPeople just make a big fuss out of everything.. I see things way worse than this, living in America, and those things do not seem to bother people.. go figure, it’s hipocrisy!
I’m originally from Brazil, and most people do not care about kids in bikini.. in fact, you will see a lot of kids wearing them, and most women do too, not mattering whether they are thin, fat, short or tall. It does not matter and people don’t mind at all, they don’t stare, don’t feel uncomfortable and they won’t point fingers at those who choose to wear something ‘out of the ordinary’. And it doesn’t make them better or worse than anybody else, or any other culture elsewhere.
Coming from a ‘bikini culture’ but having lived in America for most of my life, I say I don’t mind, except for the comfort factor, the bottom piece would have to be a bit larger. Bikinis are not very comfortable in general in kids or adults, but they are better to get a tan!
In my opinion, it’s a question of personal taste. If parents are okay with their kids wearing it, who are we to say otherwise, right?
stacey commented on Apr 06 11 at 7:10 pmThat is disgusting. If a woman can get in trouble for taking pictures of her children in the bathtub, the person who took this should be in big trouble. There is no reason a child should be dressed like that. My girls will be in serious trouble if they ever try to wear anything like that (I don’t care if they’re in college).
Karen commented on Apr 06 11 at 7:28 pmWhatever happened to cute little ruffles and frills? Why do we feel the need to dress our babies and toddlers in miniature adult outfits? It’s also disturbing how sexualized young girls is becoming more acceptable. Why can’t we just dress age appropriately whether it’s a baby, toddler, or middle-aged mom?
Athena commented on Apr 06 11 at 7:55 pmno way this suit is just begging a pedophile to take pictures of the little girls wearing them what happened to little girls wearing age appropriate clothing
Danielle H. commented on Apr 06 11 at 9:14 pmWe received some hand-me-downs from a friend when my daughter was 1.5. In the bag of awsome stuff was a cute bikini. Cute as in for adults or teenagers. But not for my almost 2 year old! No way! It looked very similar. The triangles and the ties on the side. It was made by Roxy and was just way way to adult sexy like to ever put on a small child! I’m ok with cute child like bikinis on kids but not this kind. Its just so wrong (like toddlers in tiaras wrong!)
Teale Bouly commented on Apr 06 11 at 9:43 pmI agree with the other moms that said they would rather see just a swim diaper than this. I think the triangle top implies boobies and my daughter might be chunky enough to have “boobies” but I certainy don’t want them portrayed as such. KWIM? I love that my daughter is a baby/toddler but that is just me.
Amanda commented on Apr 07 11 at 4:00 amNo way! Already have sickos running around-and then you want to skimpify your toddler? No thanks, entirely too sexual!
Haley commented on Apr 07 11 at 7:22 amGross..that is all I can really say. I notice that once in a while when I am shopping, why do they make little girls clothes have a sexy edge to them. Just let them be little girls!
Colleen commented on Apr 07 11 at 11:19 amPadded little girl bikinis from Ambercrombie and now slutty baby bikini’s….
WTH?? Let them be BABIES & LITTLE GIRLS…they will be teenagers trying to dress inappropriately soon enough!!!!
Mary McDonald commented on Apr 07 11 at 11:31 amI just don’t even know what to day. It makes me so sad how much emphasis our society puts on girls to show skin in order to be sexy and for it to now reach the toddler scene makes me ill. I am scared for my little girl to grow up in this world.
Melanie commented on Apr 07 11 at 12:31 pmThis is exactly why there is a popular show on TV called 16 and pregnant. Someone should sue them for child exploitation.
kristin commented on Apr 07 11 at 3:39 pmIt would look a *little* ridiculous with a swimmie hanging out all ova tha place!!!
krystal commented on Apr 07 11 at 3:41 pmwow this is just actually sickening to look at. who would allow their little girl in such a hoochified bikini>?????? ugh hell no!
Linda commented on Apr 07 11 at 3:44 pmNO…. HELL NO!!!! what in world is wrong with people?
tanya commented on Apr 07 11 at 3:44 pmI think that this is ridiculous.. there’s a difference between cute and just plain disgusting.. there’s no way id ever let my daughter wear this.. I see nothiing wrong with 2 pieces.. heck I find them more convinient for bathroom runs.. but there’s a grown up look to these.. who the heck comes up with this stuff?
Christina commented on Apr 07 11 at 3:46 pmAbsolutely NOT. My girls all wore 2-piece suits, but kid-friendly, cutesy, ruffly-types. I don’t even like the idea of my 16 yr old daughter in one of those, let alone, my 2 yr old! No-way!
Today’s society has waaaaay over-sexualized our children. These things scream, “Hello, Mr. or Mrs. Pedophile…take a look at me!”
Yech!!!! Not on your life, let alone, mine…
wendy commented on Apr 07 11 at 3:50 pmNO WAY!!!!!!!!!!!!
Christina commented on Apr 07 11 at 3:53 pmI left them this same feedback on their site. Nope, nadda, never gonna happen…not for my little princesses, anyway.
Reba commented on Apr 07 11 at 3:59 pmThese disgust me. To be honest, I will not let my 2 yr old wear a 2 piece to begin with.. but these… NO.
TRINA commented on Apr 07 11 at 3:59 pmHELL NO! I MEAN NO WAY! THIS IS RETARDED AND NOT APPROPRIATE FOR YOUNGER GIRLS TO WEAR. ANYONE FOR CHILD PORN? YEAH THAT’S HOW I FEEL!
annette commented on Apr 07 11 at 4:00 pmWhether my daughter is a baby or a teen I find this type of swimsuit ridiculous… How can I teach my child personal values if society is doing nothing but exploiting girls bodies at any age…!!!
Trista commented on Apr 07 11 at 4:02 pmHECK NO!!!!!!!!!! I sent a email to the company who makes this bikinis saying my opinion! I would NEVER let my daughter at ANY AGE wear these sleezy things. That is just plain nasty, tasteless, ridiculous, and down right disturbing that a MOTHER would let their children wear it! And they wonder why there are pediafiles on the streets staring at their daughters! Just makes me SICK!
Erica commented on Apr 07 11 at 4:12 pmNo I wouldn’t let my child wear one of these they are too “sexy” for a baby especially the one with the animal print my 3 yo has a two piece but it’s nothing like these. I’m not sure what Abercrombie was thinking but that is definitely NOT appropriate under any circumstances these kids are developing at an alarming rate on their own as it is so why emphasize it. I understand wanting your little girl to look cute but in no way is this cute! If ppl think it’s ok to let their children wear it that’s fine with me but I will definitely not be buying one for mine!
Lee commented on Apr 07 11 at 4:13 pmNo way….I don’t even want my 15 year old wearing something this little….way wrong…and way inappropriate…to much to soon!!!!!!
Angel Park commented on Apr 07 11 at 4:15 pmWHAT kind of sorry excuse for a parent would let their little girl wear something like this. They are babies, not grown women. This is exactly the kind of thing that just screams for pedophile’s attention! They should be ashamed. Humanity is losing it’s morality at an alarming rate!
April commented on Apr 07 11 at 4:18 pmOn the up side, the kid would just be wearing it in the back yard because a swim diaper under would ruin the line so, no public pools! (My daughter is 10, but even as a baby I would not have purchased this for her.)
Rachael commented on Apr 07 11 at 4:20 pmNo. Absolutely not. No explanation needed.
Maggie commented on Apr 07 11 at 4:21 pmAbsolutely not!!!! This is outrageous!!!!!
Jho commented on Apr 07 11 at 4:25 pmpersonally, i like 2 pieces (for my girls and myself)….mainly for their convenience (with a one piece, you have to completely undress to potty. that makes me *very* uncomfortable. but the 2 pieces i buy for my girls are more like this http://www.uvsungear.com/tug132.html and even for myself, i choose tankinis. string bikinis for under-age girls bother me. they are meant to be sexy. i don’t want my girls dressing sexy until they are old enough to *be* sexy.
Jennifer commented on Apr 07 11 at 4:26 pmWOW…bad mom here. My daughter received one of these as a gift (she was 9 months at the time). The print was different, more kiddie/girlie. She had it on a handful of times in the privacy of our backyard. I never thought it was racy on her. I thought she looked cute. Grant it, in my photos she not pictured as the kids are in this blog and babikini website.
Jill commented on Apr 07 11 at 4:29 pmNo never. This is terrible. What in the world are these people thinking sexualizing little girls like that. Sickos.
Julie Q commented on Apr 07 11 at 4:40 pmNO WAY!! That style is waaayyy too grown up for babies. I let my 2 yr old wear two peice swimsuites, but they LOOK like a two year olds swim wear. Those poor babies are damn near naked, what are these clothing designers thinking??? They’re babies, not 20-somethings!
Jamie commented on Apr 07 11 at 4:42 pmSo even if I get past the fact that this is WAY to old for my little girl, what about all the skin showing and sun exposure! My kids always have at least a shirt on.
Felicia commented on Apr 07 11 at 4:42 pmNot in a million years. They have 2 piece swimsuits for little girls that are age appropriate. This is trashy and dare i say whoreish. Im sorry but im blunt. They are CHILDREN!! Im 25 yr old and wouldnt wear a swimsuit like that
Michelle commented on Apr 07 11 at 4:43 pmI’m not a mother yet but I have nieces and little cousins. I say NO NO NO!!!!!!
DollyKay commented on Apr 07 11 at 4:46 pmWhat is this pedifiles are us? I can not believe that someone actually designed swim suits for babies, little girls, etc. like this! Man I may not be perfect but I am smart enough to know that this is a NO GO! “You don’t have be a blugeoning victim to know you don’t want to be a blugeoning victim!!!!”
Ashley commented on Apr 07 11 at 4:48 pmI think their cute, only if they were like 5x bigger and on a 23 year old girl rather then a BABY! Ugh sickening. I was willing to give the damn little girl breast feeding baby a chance but this is ridiculous. I don’t even try to look that sexy at the beach and I am 25 years old. I have a 3 month old and she will wear something more for babies thanks anyways.
amanda commented on Apr 07 11 at 4:50 pmI do not have a daughter, but I do have a daughter in law and she doesnt even dress in soething like that, if she did I wiuldtell her o change that we are not going
amanda commented on Apr 07 11 at 4:50 pmI do not have a daughter, but I do have a daughter in law and she doesnt even dress in soething like that, if she did I wiuldtell her o change that we are not going
Heather commented on Apr 07 11 at 4:53 pmE-GADS!!!! NEVER would my baby/toddler/small child be wearing something that even resembled a two-piece such as this!
Heather commented on Apr 07 11 at 4:53 pmThe only way I would ever let my daught wear this is if she was in our own back yard pool, being that we do not have our own pool, I guess that means NO FREAKING WAY!!!! You never know who is watching when you take your children into public, and flaunting your toddler like this is saying…hey….easy target.
maria commented on Apr 07 11 at 4:53 pmI am also against this, It reminds me of when one of the talk show host had a show “with what the newest swim wear for kids” was( And it was a thong bottom) ARE YOU KIDDING ME ???? For babies….. there is or was a company out there that was selling them for tots. There is no place for trying to make a baby look Sexy!! And when you have these tiny bathing suits there are way to many wackos out there that would get a thrill out of this. We need to PROTECT OUR BABIES~NOT PROMOTE THEM…..
amanda commented on Apr 07 11 at 4:54 pmkeyboard messing up…i would tell her we are not going to a playboy photo shoot. sorry for misspellings in earlier post…as a mom I would not wear that nor would i have worn it growing up or put it on ANYof my family
Natalia commented on Apr 07 11 at 5:01 pmThere is no way in God’s green earth i would ever let my child wear something like that. No wonder there are so many pedophiles and young pregnant girls if you teach them this is ok from such a young age. We should be focusing on their intellectual skills and teaching them all you need is your intelligence instead. The world puts down women enough why start it out so young!
Lauren Randall commented on Apr 07 11 at 5:17 pmI would never let my girls wear anything even remotely like that. In today’s society, it is so unwise to make your little girls look like women! You can’t turn back that clock on innocence or wait until they are teenagers to teach them modesty!!!
Jen commented on Apr 07 11 at 5:19 pmWhat’s next????? Tassels???????
Kat commented on Apr 07 11 at 5:36 pmOMG!!!! All I have to say is I’m so glad I have a boy!!! This is disgusting, why would anyone let their daughter go running around looking like that??? If I had a daughter she ain’t wearing NOTHING like that until she is grown and out of my house!!!
Jessica commented on Apr 07 11 at 5:57 pmum. wow. no … my first thought is about the messages our society sends to girls at an ever-younger age … my 5-year-old is already telling me her “thighs are too big,” her “face is too fat,” her “hair isn’t pretty enough.” you can bet she’d find new faults with her physical self if i allowed her to parade around in one of these suits. i’m disheartened that companies continue to play into the worn-out stereotype that women are nothing more than “things to look at” … string-tie bikinis for a toddler and preschooler?! you can bet people are gonna look at a kid wearing something like that … i’d rather teach my daughter to want people to notice her for the talents she’s nurturing, the skills she’s learning, the beautiful soul she’s becoming … so thanks, babkini, but no thanks …
gina commented on Apr 07 11 at 6:16 pmwhy not? I think this looks cute… In Europe everybody would put that on their child. Only in america people are crazy!!!!
Inkedwitch commented on Apr 07 11 at 7:11 pmUmm NO! There is no way I would let a toddler wear this. For one it is not at all practical for such a young one and as others have said…there is already such a rush for them to grow up way too fast as it is! My daughter did not have anything even close to this until she was 16 and it covered more
Kate commented on Apr 07 11 at 8:05 pmThis bothers me much more then say just a bottom which is very common in Europe. This is meant to look like a sexy bikini…that just creeps me out. It’s the tie sides that just do me in. Yuck!
K.C.A.L. commented on Apr 07 11 at 8:09 pmI dont think the bikini is very practical for toddlers…but what does a baby have? The child in the picture is completely covered! If my daughter wasnt in diapers I would get her one! The yellow one is adorable! And I like the zebra one as well! People these days TRY to find things “wrong” with childrens clothing..it only becomes a problem when you surround yourself with people looking for things to see peeking out of your childrens clothing!
Kate (a different one) commented on Apr 07 11 at 8:58 pmAgree with above posters. Totally inappropriate and just plain weird / wrong.
jenn c commented on Apr 07 11 at 10:40 pmI would never let my toddler wear anything like this. The baby in the first pic doesnt even look old enough to be out of diapers so that would never work in real life. i do like a 2 piece for babies because its just easier to change a diaper especially a soaking wet swimmie diaper with a 2 piece ( my daughter had a 1 piece last summer and it was soooo annoying) her bathing suit for this summer is a tankini with minnie mouse on it. very appropriate for a CHILD. Lets not make our babies grow up too soon…
Brenna commented on Apr 07 11 at 10:48 pmthese will drive the pedophiles wild … GROSS!
Heather commented on Apr 07 11 at 11:05 pmI meant Daughter
s_hopper1@hotmail.com commented on Apr 08 11 at 1:01 amThat is what I refer to as Prosta-TOT. But I do think it is up to the parents…even if it is in poor taste. For me, My girls will be dressed in at very least a tankini never a bikini like this. I think it may lure sickos. But worse yet, it might teach them that this is what they have to dress like to get attention.
Sarah commented on Apr 09 11 at 7:05 amSo wrong. I’d say I’m pretty open-minded when it comes to parenting but this is just too much. It really skeeves me out. I recently picked a new bathing suit for my almost 3-year-old and the one I chose was a two piece, however, the tank top came all the way down to the top of the bottoms so it looked like a one-piece.
marie commented on Apr 19 11 at 7:20 pmthis is no way appropriate for a baby..a teenager maybe but not a baby. the pedophiles would love to see little girls in this.. get real who would buy this anyway…
Kristy commented on Apr 22 11 at 7:33 amCan I just say something regarding the mothers and inviduals being rude regarding this. What gives you the right to say such things. No I do not agree with them either, but saying what you are, should be ashamed of yourselves. I hope that each time one of you makes a mistake as a mother or parent your scrutenized so negatively from other people too! Shouldn’t we advise eachother in positive light rather than such crucial judgement. Isn’t that why society is the way it is. Adults remember. To the mother or parent of these children. My point is that we just have to be careful what our children are wearing these days out in public (in your own yard its your choice) you have to be aware of the pedafiles and sick individuals that might look at it a different way. I do not however think you are a HORRIBLE, DISGUSTING or DISTURBED parent. Just try do your very best everyday to keep your children safe. I do. :)
Brittany (healthy slice of life$ commented on Jun 05 11 at 6:37 amNo way. They look way to grown up to me and I get a little uncomfortable looking at the pictures. Maybe I’m uptight, too. :)
Lisa commented on Jun 05 11 at 6:55 amABSOLUTELY NOT!!!!!!!
But, I am comong from the point of view of a foster/adoptive parent of hurt children. My daughter, and most of my foster daughters, and most of my neices are rescued “hurt” children. I would NEVER EVER allow my daughter to wear something like that, even in the privacy of my yard. (most molesters are KNOWN to the child) Let children be children, keeping sexy for the adults!
Jennifer commented on Jun 05 11 at 7:07 amAbsolutely Not!!! That looks like something you would see an adult wear!!!! That is a walking hello sign for pedophiles!!! It’s just asking for trouble!!!!
Surviving Five commented on Jun 05 11 at 7:29 amI like bikinis on babies, with their little fat rolls poking out all over, but NOT like that, the triangles and string sides are more sexy than cute.
andrea ladden commented on Jun 05 11 at 8:05 amALL I CAN SAY IS NOOOOO!!!!!!
K commented on Jun 05 11 at 8:05 amNope not happening .I wouldn’t put that on mine. Little girls are exactly that little girls
Amber Lowry commented on Jun 05 11 at 8:14 amI think it’s a little too much. I don’t think I’d let my girls wear it. But no judgement here if people choose to.
Cindy commented on Jun 05 11 at 8:50 amMy daughters wore bikinis 25 years ago in our backyard wading pool. They also ran naked sometimes. They were children and it was good, happy funtime for them! Today, they all have masters degrees and hold responsible jobs. You people are over-correcting when you see the evil in society. Don’t reflect it back on your children. There’s a reasonable middle ground to be found here.
Kaywren commented on Jun 05 11 at 9:02 amCapital NO, These are a pedophile’s dream come true. There is absolutely no reason for your BABY or child for that matter to look sexy. Think about the reason why women wear bikinis: To show off their bodies, to looks sexy, and for men (and in some cases women) to want to have sex with them” Is that the reaction you want when people look at your little girl? These are disgusting!
Hope commented on Jun 05 11 at 9:31 amENot! Let kids be kids.
Erika commented on Jun 05 11 at 9:35 amNO. Why are we pushing our babies to grow up so fast?!? This is one instance where I’m happy I only have boys.
meme commented on Jun 05 11 at 9:37 amNot this mom.
I actually remember wearing bikinis as a little girl and the tops would never stay in place. I’d always end up taking them off out of sheer frustration, just wearing the bottoms. A traumatic memory for me was a boy coming up to me and accusing me of being a boy since I wasn’t wearing a top!
Ariel commented on Jun 05 11 at 9:38 amI have a 10 month son an 5 neices I would littery slap either of my brothers or sister in laws if they ever put one on my neices! Even my twin 7 year old neices its to grown up an there are to many sickos! Bottom line! I’m very glad most the post I read say no! I’m not judging the ones who would but little girls are already growing up to fast let’s not rush it!
Lauren commented on Jun 05 11 at 9:45 amI think everyone is being a little uptight about this. i see nothing wrong with these suits. My daughter had one like this from Old Navy when she was about 1. it had the little triangles and bikini bottom. The swim diaper fit just fine underneath. I would rather her have worn it at that age than at 16 when she has some thing to show. People put little ones in two peices all the time, these are just a little bit smaller. get over it.
Lauren commented on Jun 05 11 at 9:51 amAnd get real people, pedaphiles are so sick, it doesn’t matter WHAT a child wears. You can cover your child head to toe and some sick perv is still gonna have nasty thoughts in their heads. I love how y’all think it matters that by covering your kid up they are safe. Laughable. You are probably the same people that think your kid is safe in a catholic church.
Tally commented on Jun 05 11 at 9:51 amabsolutely not, very inappropriate for a child of any age.
Cg commented on Jun 05 11 at 10:06 amMy seven month old has a similar one. It’s not the string bikini bottom but it is the same style top. I think it looks adorable on her! She has no boobs to fill it out..She looks adorable in it. I would rather her wear it at 7 months rather than 7 years or even worse 17 years old! I think she looks adorable because shes 20 pounds and shes a little rolly polly. The style for baby has changed and I love it! I love when he clothes resemble mine. I don’t really care what people think of me as a parent because if people didn’t buy it, or like it, they wouldn’t sell it. So obvious they have enough people interested! How dare parents judge on what your kid is dressed like. Does that mean people say “wow that child is neglected” because he has a cookie stain on his shirt from eating in the car? LOL wow.
sara commented on Jun 05 11 at 10:11 amsorry but no-honestly i have a picture as a toddler wearing something like this and used it time and time again to convice my mom i should be allowed to wear it now if i was allowed to wear it then (not that it ever worked). too many sick people look at little children in sick ways-what we think is cute they see sexually, why put your baby on the market like that…kids want to grow up fast enough leave the older cuteness when they are ready to handle it
ny phoenix commented on Jun 05 11 at 10:35 amSomething like that would only last long enough in my house to make it to the garbage bin. I have sons… there is NO WAY they’d ever let a sister of theirs out of the house in something like that at any age… and that’s assuming they catch her before her father or I do!
Amy commented on Jun 05 11 at 11:55 amNo this is SO the wrong message to send young girls/babies/toddlers….I let my daughter wear a tankini…I don’t even like the ones with the open backs…it is wrong to have babies/toddlers/preschoolers in such revealing suits…it does seem that society is wanting these kids to grow up WAY to fast!! I have to ask myself what are these people thinking about when they design such things…
Hb commented on Jun 05 11 at 12:19 pmFirst off when I looked at these swimsuits I see that only. If anyone sees more than that they should be shot. No matter what a child wears it should not be seen as sexual or revealing. So why even ask if they are offensive? The predators are the offensive ones.

Crystal Brown commented on Jun 05 11 at 12:55 pmI would NEVER let my girl’s wear such over sexualized crap!!! They are little girl’s and they should remain little girl’s. There is this rush for girl’s to grow up faster these days and the clothing manufacturers are just trying to cash in on this unfortunately but “we, as consumers” should let it be known that this kind of attire is not going to be tolerated by not buying this crap!!!!
Maria commented on Jun 05 11 at 3:58 pmI don’t like the implied sexuality of these. I don’t think there is anything wrong with nudity for people of any age but these seem to be trying to make a statement…why cover breasts when she doesn’t have any. I’m all for age appropriate sex ed but this doesn’t seem to be for the benefit of the child at all.
I have two small sons and I keep them in two pieces to reduce sun exposure and minimise the need for sunblock.
susie commented on Jun 06 11 at 11:33 pmabsolutely not. this lady has her adorable baby girl in one and it almost made me cry to see this sweet baby dressed like she this.
bubbalicious commented on Jun 07 11 at 10:57 amnot in my lifetime. NEVER. gross.
Melissa commented on Dec 29 11 at 12:09 pmWow. Ummm…NO.
GMB commented on Dec 31 11 at 4:58 pmNothing else to add. I am European and very free in my attitudes. I go to nude beaches and enjoy my body at any shape. –– There is a big difference between sensual and sexual. Americans often don’t get that. We live in a sexualized society. These baby fashions appeal to a perverse instinct. I would not want my child being paraded in this way. Mothers protect your girls. They will grow up soon enough!
Carol commented on Jan 02 12 at 4:18 pmNo way. I wouldn’t let my teenager wear it either. But with idiot parents who think turning your baby into a sex symbol is appropriate, (just check out shows like toddlers and tiaras), then I think you not only need your head examined and a few classes in parenting, but maybe a visit from cps. It doesn’t stop here people. What ever happened to teaching our children about modesty, morality and virtue?
Elle commented on Jan 02 12 at 4:21 pmThat’s just disgusting. I mean, what kind of people are these parents raising? If those kids are wearing string bikinis at 1 year old, imagine what they’ll wear as an adult!
I’m 17, and not a parent… but I’d never want my little sister wearing this.
What the ??? commented on Jan 02 12 at 4:28 pmAll this stuff is a pedo dream!! A real parent wouldn’t allow this or the Padded bra. What kind of planet are we living on??
Felicia commented on Jan 02 12 at 4:29 pmThis is just awful. There are a lot of parents that wouldn’t even let their children wear these as pre-teens. Such a disgrace,
Polargirl17 commented on Jan 02 12 at 4:31 pmhell no. those are disgusting i wouldn’t let any child under the age of 21 wear something like that.
Ruth commented on Jan 02 12 at 5:38 pmWhoever makes this should be prosecuted for Child Pornography because this is basically what it is! What company thinks this is a good idea for toddlers or little girls to be wearing this? Seriously and the fact that parents let there kids model it is just nasty and gross. I hope this company goes under and this is just gross your basically telling a child predator go ahead and look at my daughter and molest her.
Welcome commented on Jan 02 12 at 6:04 pmI don’t agree with these pictures. I don’t even let my teen wear something like that. Too many wrong people see that and think wrong about a little girl or even a boy. Go to kids stores and get a little girls suite not a small adult one.
Jennifer commented on Jan 02 12 at 6:46 pmI work in child care and during the summer we take trips to the lake and spray park. Some of my kids (I work MOSTLY with 3 & 4 year olds) wear two piece bathing suits but they are way more modest than these. The tops are actually like tankinis and cover most of the midriff. They are cute but not trashy or skimpy like these. Whatever happened to letting kids be kids??
Jessica Lewis commented on Jan 02 12 at 7:25 pmThis isn’t a new concept! I saw a store a few years ago when my youngest daughter was almost a year old. I went to an Old Navy and saw a whole rack of these things. I got so upset that I grabbed every single one off the rack and went to the cashier and had her call the manager. I then threw the whole stack of them and the ladys feet and asked her what the f*ck was wrong with her. I caused a big ole stink about these baby bikinis. I was yelling at her that they were not only inappropriate for lil girls but do we really want to give pedophiles more visuals? And how in the hell is a lil girl supposed to keep the top in place? The manager had to call security and have me escorted out! There is no way on Gods Green Earth I would ever put something like that on my daughters. I have since never shopped at an old navy and now neither will at least 100 other people that I told this to. What the hell is wrong with people?
loving life commented on Jan 02 12 at 7:36 pmIt’s soo sad that stores are selling bikinis for toddlers, padded bra’s for pre-pre-teens,and padded bathingsuit tops for ten year old girls. There is already a such rush for girls to grow up but this just makes it worse. Gee, we make things like this and wonder why kids are becoming “grown up” sexually at a young age…? smh -.- This is exactly why there is a popular show on TV called 16 and pregnant such a shame society.
Geeky mom commented on Jan 02 12 at 7:58 pmNo, no, no, absolutely no!!! I prefer 2 pieces any day since they are easier to make fit right and aren’t all saggy in the crotch. However… These babe kinis are way overboard and inappropriate. Heck I’m 30 have a fairly decent body and I’m uncomfortable in string bikinis.
Shelley commented on Jan 02 12 at 8:22 pmNo, I would NEVER PUT THAT ON MY DAUGHTER! I know I can’t protect her from every pedophile, but I don’t have to gift wrap her! These adds practically look like kiddie porn! What broke, raggedy stripper came up with this idea!
lilchina commented on Jan 02 12 at 9:02 pmGross!!!!it just makes me throw up looking that those images. HELLOOOO DUMB AND IGNORANT PARENTS their children are not grown ups. To the HB Comment….of course u just see it as a simple swimsuit because u are not a pedophile, but those disgusting perverts see the children dress like that with filthy lust and desire. WHo came with the most disgusting and stupid idea of babikini? I wont doubt a little bit that a pedophile came with that idea and whats worse dumb parents buy it for their innocent children. THat just makes me sick. now those images of these innocent kids are alll over the web being watched by a pervert.
Araria commented on Jan 02 12 at 9:31 pmMaybe this is just me, but this can almost be classified as infant/child porn.
Dawn commented on Jan 02 12 at 9:34 pmNo way. These ad pictures are disturbing. I don’t know what I’d do if I saw a small child in that at a local pool. What is with the string of pearls on the baby?
Dawn commented on Jan 02 12 at 10:01 pmAfter, I posted I went to the Babikini site they have pictures of customers children in the suits they bought. Though I think they’re pretty impractical since a baby should wear a swim diaper in a public swim area for others health. Who wants number 2 in the pool? But the regular babys were cute and I probably wouldn’t give them a second thought in a real setting. The ad pictures must of purposely “sexulized” the pics which is wrong. The pearls & leopard prints give you a vaguely uneasy feeling. The little girls on the site are playing in the sand or mugging like children do and they just look cute. I still probably will choose a swim diaper and sunhate for my own child though.
kelly commented on Jan 02 12 at 10:18 pmthis is far to revealing for a little girl. its like these people are trying to get little girls molested. and the pictures that are up on here should be illeagal. grossss!
Alma commented on Jan 02 12 at 10:30 pmThis is wrong on so many levels!!! It is disgusting. I would never allow my baby daughter wear this.
Pam commented on Jan 02 12 at 11:12 pmHow is this NOT considered Child Porn? Someone please tell me! I would NEVER let my child wear one of these. My 13yr old is begging for a bikini and I absolutely refuse to let my child dress like a peodophiles wet dream.
Xander21 commented on Jan 03 12 at 1:22 amTo quote george lopez……..
“OOOOHH HELL NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
JAYNE commented on Jan 03 12 at 4:00 amThis takes out all the innocency out of the babe…gives dirty ideas to perverts….such clothing should be removed from the market…we want our kids to grow up in a better and moral- conscious environment…with the fear of God inherent …God help us all
wttttttttttttf commented on Jan 03 12 at 6:26 amwtf why would they even make that?!?!?!? THEY HAVE NO BOOBS !! THERE JUST BABIES!!
what happened to the old fashioned swimsuit with a little skirt on it?
this new generation sucks
S commented on Jan 03 12 at 11:03 amwhy would children this small even need a bathing suit???
bea commented on Jan 03 12 at 12:05 pmMy daughter (18 months) won one of these swim suits in a pageant… I refused to let her keep it and in fact couldn’t find a “taker”… Goodwill got a donation w/ tags that week!! Aside from valid fashion issues from other comments, I also have to question skin exposure.
Rayne commented on Jan 03 12 at 12:13 pmThis is appalling! This honestly could be considered child pornography. I would never even consider allowing my child to wear anything like this. Children that age honestly need to be in a 1 piece bathing suit. This website and company should be shut down and any parent who is allowing their child to wear this company’s product needs to take a good hard look because all they are doing is inviting a child predator to come around.
Brianna commented on Jan 03 12 at 12:59 pmTo me its a outfit worn by a baby and it ia only turned sexual or gross if i want to see it like that! My niece has one like this minus the strings on the side and it looks cute on her, judge me for how i feel but, i see no wrong in babkinis
Tiffany Garcia commented on Jan 03 12 at 1:16 pmNot just no but a HELL NO!!! I think that any mom that puts her daughter in that should be reported for some kind of child abuse.
jacyb commented on Jan 03 12 at 1:47 pmi wouldd let my 4 year old wear one. we have sexualized the bikini. i see nothing sexy about it on a child. my daughter competes in pageants that do a swim wear competition and no she would not wear a tie bikini on stage. she does wear a two piece but im very picky when it comes to the style becuase i want her tasteful.
as for the child preditors looking. they will always look weather your child is in sweats or a bikini. if the child fits their fancy they will look and oogle etc.
how i see it if you dont like it dont buy it. no i would not buy her a padded training bra or swim suit top until she actually needed a little coverage for it. dont blast your feelings. there are ”sexy” one piece suits for girls with cut outs or are backless yet no one is bashing those but a bikini.
Deb Nuccio commented on Jan 03 12 at 1:51 pmMore trash to satisfy the pedophiles.!! You should be fined for selling, manufacturer for producing and parents jailed for letting their babies wear it.
kam commented on Jan 03 12 at 2:16 pmYep, totally would let her wear this. Heck, my girlfriend got it at a baby shower. so cute
debi matthews commented on Jan 03 12 at 10:00 pmThat is horrible, it is setting our little girls up to look like tramps. Shame on the manufacturers and shame on the parents for letting their little girls model those, those are bad parents!!!
Jerry commented on Feb 04 12 at 5:53 pmYou all are so stupid. Society in america is too worried about pedophiles these days that everyone is too worried about what everyones else lets their kids wear. Also a pedophile doesn’t care what the kid is wearing, it has more to do with the child’s looks. A girl in a bikini has the same chance to get molested that a girl wearing a one piece does.
kt commented on Apr 27 12 at 5:58 pmNo way, it’s just not right in any way!!!!
TS commented on May 09 12 at 6:05 pmI don’t understand why a parent would want to promote that. I feel that children are growing up way to fast trying to be sexy when they have nothing to be sexy with. Not saying that the infant feels sexy, she would rather go naked in the first place but not only iis it wrong to promote your child in skimppy clothing but where is the sun protection that sensitive skin needs. That is my concern in the matter it is a health issue more than a moral issue. They are babies and they don’t really care clothes or no clothes. But I’m sure they care if they get a bad sunburn. Please parents put clothes on your babies for their protection all the way around.
