absolutely not! my daughter wore a two piece when she was little but it was toddler girl cute. these suits are entirely too sexual. suits like these follow in line with where our society has been heading and is why these days ten year old girls would rather be texting boys than playing with dolls. it’s too much.

Let’s face it- on the beach these are the best for diaper changes over one piece, but a line must be drawn.

I lived in Europe for a few years and there the toddlers typically just wore a swim bottom, no top, and that did not bother me at all. These bother me. I would never let my child wear one of these. The style is too grown up. Not only that, babies need some sort of swim diaper or suit made for accidents.

So, where would the swim diaper go?? And no, my daughter will not be wearing a 2 piece this year. Or next year.

I’m originally from Brazil, and most people do not care about kids in bikini.. in fact, you will see a lot of kids wearing them, and most women do too, not mattering whether they are thin, fat, short or tall. It does not matter and people don’t mind at all, they don’t stare, don’t feel uncomfortable and they won’t point fingers at those who choose to wear something ‘out of the ordinary’. And it doesn’t make them better or worse than anybody else, or any other culture elsewhere.

Coming from a ‘bikini culture’ but having lived in America for most of my life, I say I don’t mind, except for the comfort factor, the bottom piece would have to be a bit larger. Bikinis are not very comfortable in general in kids or adults, but they are better to get a tan!

In my opinion, it’s a question of personal taste. If parents are okay with their kids wearing it, who are we to say otherwise, right?

Whatever happened to cute little ruffles and frills? Why do we feel the need to dress our babies and toddlers in miniature adult outfits? We received some hand-me-downs from a friend when my daughter was 1.5. In the bag of awsome stuff was a cute bikini. Cute as in for adults or teenagers. But not for my almost 2 year old! No way! It looked very similar. The triangles and the ties on the side. It was made by Roxy and was just way way to adult sexy like to ever put on a small child! My seven month old has a similar one. It’s not the string bikini bottom but it is the same style top. I think it looks adorable on her! She has no boobs to fill it out..She looks adorable in it. I would rather her wear it at 7 months rather than 7 years or even worse 17 years old! I think she looks adorable because shes 20 pounds and shes a little rolly polly. I work in child care and during the summer we take trips to the lake and spray park. Some of my kids (I work MOSTLY with 3 & 4 year olds) wear two piece bathing suits but they are way more modest than these. The tops are actually like tankinis and cover most of the midriff. They are cute but not trashy or skimpy like these. Whatever happened to letting kids be kids??

After, I posted I went to the Babikini site they have pictures of customers children in the suits they bought. Though I think they’re pretty impractical since a baby should wear a swim diaper in a public swim area for others health. Who wants number 2 in the pool? But the regular babys were cute and I probably wouldn’t give them a second thought in a real setting. The ad pictures must of purposely “sexulized” the pics which is wrong. The pearls & leopard prints give you a vaguely uneasy feeling. The little girls on the site are playing in the sand or mugging like children do and they just look cute. My daughter (18 months) won one of these swim suits in a pageant… I refused to let her keep it and in fact couldn’t find a “taker”… Goodwill got a donation w/ tags that week!! Aside from valid fashion issues from other comments, I also have to question skin exposure.

To me its a outfit worn by a baby and it ia only turned sexual or gross if i want to see it like that! My niece has one like this minus the strings on the side and it looks cute on her, judge me for how i feel but, i see no wrong in babkinis

i wouldd let my 4 year old wear one. we have sexualized the bikini. i see nothing sexy about it on a child. my daughter competes in pageants that do a swim wear competition and no she would not wear a tie bikini on stage. she does wear a two piece but im very picky when it comes to the style becuase i want her tasteful.

I don’t understand why a parent would want to promote that. I feel that children are growing up way to fast trying to be sexy when they have nothing to be sexy with.
