My Favorite Pair of Shoes (+ Meet my Nieces!)
Do you have a favorite pair of shoes? Lately I love wearing my Swedish clogs everywhere from work appointments to dinner with friends. Though, they aren’t so great when it rains! The combo of slippery Portland sidewalks and my natural klutziness has created a few close calls. I do wish these heeled clogs had more traction. That said, I’ve actually gone hiking in them! Check it out, after the jump!
I spent a weekend with my sister’s family and wore my Hasbeens to a dress up family event. This is my niece, Millie in her Polarn O Pyret skirt and blouse. You’ll see that my nieces and I all have an affinity for Swedish design:)
I didn’t realize that hiking was on the agenda and had no other shoes with me so I wore the Swedish clogs out on the trail with a baby in a backpack! It was easier to balance than I thought and no one got hurt! This is Ella in her Hanna Andersson dress. Raggedy Ann came along too.

sara commented on Mar 25 11 at 3:39 pmYou can take them to a cobbler and add some traction to the bottom. Of course, only if you can part with them for a few days.
