Although this will do less than nothing to cure my craft addiction, I think it will contribute to the overall excellence of the products that I make. I have the hardest time cutting little letters and such with an x-acto knife, this tool will get used a LOT.

Either I’m not ‘hinting’ well enough (doubt it) or he’s just not getting it (thats probably it) :) Either way, I still don’t have one of these bad boys and I’m still cutting every minute detail by hand – and I’m thinking my hand is about to go on strike if I cut anything else. :) I have about a million and one projects to finish up and this would be the answer to my prayers :) I’m working on fabric birthday banners for both my mom and best friend who have birthdays this month. I’m making smaller sized jean blankets for both my little girls (names on them) and one for the whole family (names on them too). and then I’m making baby burp cloths, blankets, and onesies with appliques for about 6 of my neighbors who are prego and hopefully for me here pretty soon too :) so i’ve got alot of cutting to go and would really REALLY love the support of this amazing machine :) plus- all the girls in my neighborhood would probably want one after seeing what one can do with it…and I’m happy to voluntarily advertise for this machine.

My sister and I, along with my cousins, are running the Ragnar Wasatch Back Relay in June and i’d use this amazing machine to decorate the outsides of our team vans (I’d also make some posters for our family and friends to hold up as we run by) :) hehe. seeing the posters would motivate me to run faster so that i could get home sooner and get back to cutting thigs with my new silhouette :)

If I were so so so lucky to win a Silhouette machine, I think I would use it for every kind of projects. Oh God! So many things are coming to my mind at this very moment! I love crafting and I often find that different techniques can be connected to each other somehow. I would cut out templates for stenciling, for example. An idea just came to my head, you can cut any shape you like out of vynil or any other plastic material, stick it on the surface you want to decorate and paint it with Gesso, instead of paint, to add volume (then you can take the sticker out of the surface). I can also think of a thousand ways to decorate a child’s room using the Silhouette SD cutting machine, and his/her clothes, too!

Everywhere I look I find an application for this machine. Until this moment, I had only imagined that it would be terrific to create a machine able to cut and to “silhouette”. Now I have seen that sometimes dreams come true. I even say more: I swap a 30-year-old boyfriend for a Silhouette SD cutting machine. I am sure that this last is going to give me more satisfactions. I NEED IT NOW!!
