Help Japan Earthquake Relief Through Etsy
Not only do we love Etsy because of the unique handmade products, but because we’re contributing directly to talented artists and craftsmen. And now there’s another reason to feel good about buying through Etsy: We can contribute to the earthquake relief in Japan.
See some of the products that donate a portion or the entire purchase to Japan earthquake relief efforts:
100% of the proceeds from this paper fortune cookie goes to Japanese relief efforts. (imeondesign, $3.75)
Make a tasty Red Cross donation: Order two dozen of the “I Love Japan Mini Dot Cookies” and 50% of the proceeds will be donated. (Arty Cookies, $10)
If you buy this $6.50 body cream from Heidis Handmades, every last cent will be used as a Red Cross donation for the Japanese victims.
This sweet bunny print, “Heart for Japan,” would look perfect in the baby nursery — and 100% of the $22 goes to the Red Cross’s earthquake disaster relief efforts. (Buy it from Elephant Dancing.)
Paper Polaroid donates 100% of the proceeds from these $20 heart garlands.
While 100% of the proceeds are sent as a Red Cross donation for Japanese relief, this “Remember 2011″ print is perfect for anyone having an especially significant year. Buy it from Design Twenty Six for $16.
One of my favorite Etsy shops, Amiamigos (which sells everything from crochet hats to stuffed animals to hair clips) is donating 50% of their profits until the end of March. The shop owner Kyoto (who is from Japan) makes incredibly high quality and adorable products. In fact, my little one wore that penguin hat for Halloween this year!
