New Zodiac Sign Dates: Are You Upset With Your New Sign?

il 570xN.202356993 New Zodiac Sign Dates: Are You Upset With Your New Sign?

My whole life I’ve been a Virgo. Not the most glamorous sign, I’ll admit, with our obsessively organized, slightly uptight, nerd-ish qualities. Yet I’ve come to accept that this is who I am; I’ve come to love my Virgo-ness. And now with these new zodiac sign dates, I find out that I’m actually a LEO. Granted, Leo is one of the most fun signs, so I’m not complaining, but it’s kind of rocking my world.

But even more than that, my son’s sign is different. When I was pregnant, my son’s due date (Feb. 6) fell dangerously close to the Aquarius/Pisces cut-off, since a mere two-week difference (and that’s not unlikely with an original due date) could push my son’s personality over to Pisces. Now, I don’t have anything against Pisces people, I just wanted a thoughtful, intellectual, open-minded Aquarius child. But now? Now he’s a CAPRICORN.

Continue reading to find your NEW zodiac sign date, and cute products to help you come to terms with this crazy change:

Here are the new zodiac sign dates:

Capricorn: Jan 20 – Feb. 16 (my son!)

Aquarius: Feb. 16 – March 11

Pisces: March 11 – April 18

Aries: April 18 – May 13

Taurus: May 13 – June 21

Gemini: June 21 – July 20

Cancer: July 20 – Aug. 10

Leo: Aug. 10 – Sept. 16 (My new sign!)

Virgo: Sept. 16 – Oct. 30

Libra: Oct. 30 – Nov. 23

Scorpio: Nov. 23 – Nov. 29

Ophiuchus: Nov. 29 – Dec. 17 (Those who fall in this new ophiuchus category might be extra confused. Find out more about ophiuchus here.)

Sagittarius: Dec. 17 – Jan. 20

I’m very unhappy with this new revelation. Not that astrological signs are incredibly accurate, but it’s a sense of identity that we’ve all known and understood since childhood. If you’re as upset as I am, here are some cute products to help you fall in love with your new zodiac sign:

This is so upsetting to me! I feel like they are trying to take away identiy!!

natalia commented on Jan 13 11 at 4:22 pm

I hate the new so-called zodiac alignment. I dont feel that they should be able to change something sacred to people after they have lived with this their entire lives.

Shandrina commented on Jan 13 11 at 5:10 pm

I went from being a Sag to Ophiuchus. Hmmm….I am a very typical Sag. This is rocking my world to!

Michelle commented on Jan 13 11 at 5:16 pm

So what happens if you are born on the crossover day, like February 16th, or March 11th, etc.? Do you get to pick your zodiac? Ha-ha, this is crazy!

Mom commented on Jan 13 11 at 5:35 pm

This is starting to piss me off. OH MY GOD PEOPLE, IF YOU’RE NOT BORN AFTER THE YEAR 2009 YOUR ZODIAC SIGN DOES NOT CHANGE. You were born in the sign you thought you were, this change is only because the Earth’s rotation is changing. PLEASE PEOPLE, make an announcement or something.

Emi commented on Jan 13 11 at 5:51 pm

All my life I was consider a SCORPIO and now researchers want to tell me that i am now a LIBRA??!! I disapprove of this new zodiac sign because it hasnt been in the zodiac until now….i DISPISE it…I will always remain a SCOPION bc it fits me perfectly!!!

pazzion1103 commented on Jan 13 11 at 5:57 pm

I am so Aries that people are usually able to guess that I am an Aries! How can I just all of a sudden not be an Aries? If they are claiming that the horoscopes will not change then that must also mean the the description of Aries need also be the new description of a Pisces – in which case, what is the point!

Julie commented on Jan 13 11 at 6:09 pm

DIsappointed in my new sign? I can’t even pronounce it.

Christina commented on Jan 13 11 at 6:50 pm

CAPRICORN for life! So I want to know how this affects rising signs?!!!! That is almost more important…

Dawn commented on Jan 13 11 at 8:06 pm

Changing what sign goes with which month doesn’t change the traits associated with their respective months already. Sorry, but I’m a Capricorn through and through.

Nada commented on Jan 13 11 at 8:58 pm

Like being a libra not going 2b a virgo not going to do it sorry about the tech mistake I am going to keep dancing on the scales!

VALERIE commented on Jan 14 11 at 3:22 am

TO: everyone that wants to keep their old sign
MESSAGE: There never was an “old” sign, those were incorrect signs developed by people thousands of years ago that didn’t understand that we are in constant motion throughout our galaxy. The new system is the way it truely is, and you not wanting it DOES NOT MAKE IT ANY LESS TRUE. Zodiac signs are determined by the position of stars, it is not the opinion of anyone, these are just facts. Just as much fact as say fingerprint evidence in a court case proves you touched something, or a DNA test proves parents of a child. You can’t just pretend it is not there, you have to live with it.

Drew L commented on Jan 14 11 at 8:35 am

Really? I’m not understanding all the fuss. One shouldn’t put so much trust into a zodiac sign. One should do the right thing daily. What about those people born on Feb 29th and only have a “birthday” every four years? Who was that genius? Have a great weekend!

me conley commented on Jan 14 11 at 6:00 pm

Upset by the change in zodiac sign? That is an understatement!! I have been a Scorpio for over 40 years and now I’m a LIbra?? What’s up with that? I DO NOT identify with any Libran traits. grrrrrr…wish they would quit messing with our identities!

Laura commented on Jan 14 11 at 6:53 pm

I don’t know who I should thank,

ron commented on Jan 15 11 at 9:28 am

I’m not changing my sign. I have Scorpio items and even a Scorpio tattoo! I just went out on Monday to get one of my daughter’s tattooed (she’s still considered a Leo) but it’s now saying my other daughter is not a Gemini! I fit in with the Scorpio traits and my daughter definitely fits under the Gemini traits. While I haven’t done her tattoo yet, I’m keeping her as a Gemini and not changing it.

Chantel commented on Jan 15 11 at 10:24 am

this is stupid..I was born a Leo. My personality, everything fits Leo to a tee…now they are going to say I’m Cancer. There is nothing about me that fits the cancer traits/personality.

Renee commented on Jan 15 11 at 5:07 pm

I don’t care what they say, I have been an “Aries” for going on 64 years 3/29/1947 and that is where I am going to stay, if I live to be 100. This is the stupidest thing I have ever heard. I know there are alot better things to do in this world than changing the zodiac. Go out and take the probably millions of dollars its costing to do this and feed some of these people who need a good hot meal.

pattie swanson commented on Jan 15 11 at 9:46 pm

Yo, I don’t need to rely on the stars, I rely on the one who created them. Anyways, we change throughout our lives based on our age, sex and experiences and people are much more complex and rockin’ than just 12 or 13 personalities. Have faith in your existence, we don’t need the zodiac to give us confidence or worth

Jesus Freak commented on Jan 29 11 at 9:19 am

hey ….. i so relaxd tat i m still a cancerion…….. wohhhh!!!!

anandita anand commented on Jan 30 11 at 6:10 am

Nobody’s sign has changed. There’s a difference between astroNomy and astroLogy. They share words but not meanings. In astroLogy the zodiac are names for 30 degree regions of the sky the sun occupies. This never changes. In AstroNomy the zodiac are names for constellations of different sizes whose dates represent when the sun passes through them. This is always shifting based on how the earth spins and orbits the sun. An astronomer is saying these things out of ignorance of astrology. The media is repeating it out of ignorance of both. Don’t pay any attention to it.

Judson commented on Apr 01 11 at 5:10 pm

I would love to be a Taurus instead of a Gemini. I have heard abiut the horoscope shifts. That took my breath away!

Lateisha Kelley commented on Feb 22 12 at 4:56 pm

Virgo you should not be unhappy with the Leo ‘overlay’. Leo is determined and loyal warm and caring. Your not so different. The ‘new’ sign provides a little more information. I recognise mine for Sagittarius.
