5 Last Minute New Year’s Eve 2011 Decorations! Happy New Year’s!
With New Year’s Eve quickly following Christmas, some of us aren’t able to think ahead and get all the New Year’s Eve decorations together for our New Year’s Eve 2011 parties. Here are five last minute decorations you can do from home. Great ways to celebrate a Happy New Year!
Cupcake Magic
Make cupcakes and add little signs and wrappers to each one to ring in the new year! Etsy seller Paper Cake created these downloadable, print at home labels. You can get them here for $6.95 and download instantly.
Revamp Your Christmas Tree
Is your Christmas tree still up? If so, upcycle that tree and revamp it for New Year’s Eve! Take down all the Christmas ornaments and put up lots of metallic tinsel, buy some plastic champagne flutes and put them all over the tree and maybe print out some clock faces and make paper decorations out of those. It could be a new tradition…the New Year’s Eve tree!
2011 Sign
If you have kids (especially little girls) odds are you have some kind of glitter in the house. And since it’s after the holidays, you probably have some empty gift boxes laying around too. Cut out the numbers 2011, smear some glue on them and sprinkle with glitter. Then hang them up on the wall or make stands for them and use them as a centerpiece.
New Year’s Baby
Do you have any cute photos of your baby in their diaper? Frame the photo and use their image as an icon of the New Year! Added points if you can draw a little top hat on them!
New Year’s Wishes
Put up some kind of pillar, like a large vase, and put a pack of post it notes next to it. Have every one of your guests write their New Year’s wish on it and put it on the vase. Or better yet, if you have a sturdy houseplant, use your Christmas decoration hangers and have everyone write their wish on different shaped paper like stars, circles, squares, and hang the wishes from the plant as a wishing tree.
