Have you already taken down your Christmas tree and put away your holiday decorations? I haven’t yet. But I confess, it’s a task I look forward to. We’ve had everything out for several weeks now and the excitement about them has dulled. I like thinking about our Christmas things as I pack them away and imagining how excited the kids will be to unpack each item again next year.

For ornaments, we use two storage boxes by Sterling Pear we received as gifts. I have two different versions (see below) and they are wonderful — good-looking, sturdy and functional. The insides are made of compartmentalized trays that can be customized to fit odd-sized items. These storage boxes somehow make even my not-that-special ornaments seem like heirlooms.

We use the Signature Ornament Storage Box and the Keepsake Ornament Storage Box. And I can highly recommend both. They would make great gifts for your Christmas obsessed mother-in-law too!
