Would You Drop Over $1,000 On This Stroller?
Move over Bugaboo and Maclaren — there’s another luxury stroller at your local Babies ‘R Us, and it will cost double of what you already thought to be outrageous. How much is too much to spend on a stroller? What if it grows from birth to childhood? What if it has incredible, customizable features?
Bottom line: Would you spend over $1,000 on this stroller?:
The Stokke Xplory stroller sure looks pretty, but at $1,050 — what can it do?
As you can see, it certainly grows with your little one in a variety of different positions. And we have to admit, that built-in shopping bag at the bottom of the stroller certainly is a good idea. Yet you can find strollers that have all of these features plus convert to a double stroller for less money. And I don’t even see a cup holder.
But if you’re looking for the ultimate in luxury, check out Stokke’s new winter package:
Yes, those are sheepskin handmuffs attached to the stroller. Necessary? Probably not. But boy does it look luxurious. Stokke even has a summer kit for the warm weather:
Don’t get us wrong — those summer and winter kits are $200 - $300 each, on top of the $1,050 price tag. So what do you think? Worth the money? Or is this more of an If-I-won-the-lottery kind of dream?

Kristin commented on Nov 12 10 at 3:38 pmMan, it looks so odd! Maybe if I had a TON of money! But it is sort of cool, all the things it does! I hope it lasts forever too!
