Celebrate Mrs. Brady’s return to TV with some 70′s inspired Fashion
I was a suburban kid in the seventies, and I am not ashamed to admit that I not only watched, but loved, The Brady Bunch. In fact, recently I bought a couple of the seasons of the sitcom on DVD for my daughter. But it was clear early on that I was enjoying them more than she was. Besides the trip down memory lane, what I loved were the “groovy” clothes Carol Brady, AKA: Florence Henderson wore in each episode. And now that the first mom of TV (as far a I am concerned) is making news by joining the cast of Dancing With The Stars, I thought I would pay homage to this lovely lady by featuring some seventies inspired fashions.
It’s true that the decade having it’s big moment in fashion is the fifties, but there are definitely some nods to the seventies going on as well. Designers like Chloe (pictured here), Ralph Lauren, Anna Sui, and Rebecca Taylor had a little bit of this era infused into their Fall collections. These modern day interpretations would make Carol a very stylish Brady indeed.
