Artwork for Little Animal Lovers
When it comes to artwork for kids, I’m not about to turn my nose up at an adorable illustrated elephant, or a drawing of a friendly monkey, or any other sweet rendering of a member of the animal kingdom. But isn’t there something so cool about this silkscreened giraffe? It’s right for a kid, but it’s got an artsy edge. Street cred, if you will. Plus the stenciled colors are a little bit 70s, a little bit pop—perfect for an untraditional boys room.
Pick this poster up from Fluffy Co, a cool clothing company out of San Fran. And check out similar options from NY-based Areaware.
These larger pieces (24 by 44 inches), by designer Ross Menuez, are actually silkscreened onto sustainably-harvested balsa wood, and they will definitely be the focal point of any room. I love em both, the camel and the leopard.
